...

"This festival was starting to get boring"
Midoriya laughed, clapping his hands together as Todoroki's flames grew in size considerably.
He sent out a barrage of flames, it completely engulfed Midoriya.
The entire crowd gasped, watching in terror as Midoriya didn't even put in an effort to dodge.
Even the judges were silent as they stood there in perpetual fear that an attack was actually able to land on Midoriya.
Though before the fire even cleared up, laughter could be heard from within. Midoriya stepped out completely unscathed, like the flames hadn't even touched him.
That was because they didn't.
The passive form of his quirk formed a wind barrier from within the barrage of flames and protected him from the heat.

Midoriya laughed, "if you think that would be enough, you're in for a rude awakening."
He said, charging straight for Todoroki.
Todoroki quickly panicked as he sent out both ice and fire from the right and left side of his body.
Todoroki sent out both ice and fire for Midoriya, neither of which landed on him.
The ice went a different direction and the fire didn't seem to effect Midoriya at all. No one could understand why, only chalking it up to his quirk.
Midoriya closed in on Todoroki and landed a solid punch to his face. Todoroki was sent flying yet again, though this time he caught himself with his ice and tried his best to remain conscience.
Todoroki surfed his ice to the middle of the arena where he then went out a massive ice wall.
It covered half the stadium and shot out even over the stadium height, visible to the food stands.
Everyone was silent as they waited to see what would happen.
Midoriya laughed from within the ice and somehow found an opening, like it was a cave, and walked out. There wasn't even a shard of ice on him.

The crowd erupted into cheers, shocked at what they had just saw.
"You know I have yet to use the active portion of my quirk right?"
He asked.
Todoroki felt a bead of sweat roll down the left side of his forehead as genuine fear struck his core.
He had never once in his life battled an opponent that remained unaffected by any attack thrown by him.
At the minimum they would be at least cold...
Todoroki shivered, his entire right side covered in ice.
It was a last resort attack that he had hoped would work, it used a lot of energy and he was already somewhat depleted.
Midoriya on the other hand still looked like he had yet to use his energy.
Midoriya went charging straight for Todoroki, but he had already given up mentally.
It didn't help that he was hashing on the past in the middle of battle either, the only thing that could come to his mind was the trauma of his childhood and the fear Midoriya had given him.
Midoriya quickly closed the distance, ready to throw a punch when-

"I forfeit!"
Todoroki shouted.
Midoriya froze, holding back a chuckle, "didn't you confidently say you would beat me? Would you look at that. Forfeiting."
He thought to himself.
The crowd was silenced, even more silenced than when they waited to see if Midoriya had made it out of the fire and ice attacks.

"Shoto Todoroki.
Do we hear you correctly?"
Midnight asked.

Todoroki gritted his teeth, unable to lift his eyes from the ground in pure shame.
"yes.
There's no way I'm going to win. I already exhausted all my energy"
He replied, showing how he was barely able to move his right side.

"Izuku Midoriya wins this round!"
Midnight shouted.

The crowd erupted into shocked cheers, astonished at what they had just saw before their very eyes.
The son of the #2 pro hero forfeited, some could argue it was worse than losing fairly.
Midoriya threw his hands up in success and began to walk away.

"Midoriya."
Todoroki said, lifting his head up.

"what?"
Midoriya asked.

"I didn't forfeit because my attacks weren't working.
I only forfeited because I was tired.
One day we will rematch"
