Hathor Carnahan's POV
I walked into the Museum library and gasped in horror, "Oh, dear!" The curator, Dr. Bey, faced me, "Lady Hathor! I'm delighted to have you here once again. I apologize for Ms. Carnahan's mistake-" I smiled reassuringly, "Dr. Bey. I know my younger sister did not mean for this to happen. Gentle teachings. She's still young." Dr. Bey sighed and nodded, "Of course, my lady. I meant no disrespect. I give my deepest sympathies for the Lord's passing." I sighed sadly, "He is with the God Osiris and I will celebrate his life, not mourn his death."
Dr. Bey left swiftly and Evy looked at me, "I can handle it you know." I smiled sadly, "I meant no harm, Evy. I promise. I'm sorry for butting in. I wasn't expecting to walk into this." Evy sighed, "I'm sorry for getting mad, sister. I love you and am grateful for your help. How are you?" I set a hand on my stomach, "Well, I have a surprise." Evy gasped and covered her mouth, "You're pregnant? When did you know?" I teared up and choked on tears, "The day of Ausar's burial. That made that day harder to go through. We tried so long for a child and when he passes, I find out I'm with child." Evy sniffled, "Well, reincarnation is possible. It could be him." I smiled, "That is true, little sister."
A crash sounded in another room and the sisters looked over to the noise, making their way slowly to it. Evie looked around, "Hello?" Evy grabbed a torch and I followed her around as she continued to call out, "Abdul? Mohammed? Bob?" I stifled a giggle but then screamed with my sister as a mummy popped up. I heard my twin brother, Jon, laughing and Evy stomped her foot, "Have you no respect for the dead?" Jon smiled, "Of course I do. But sometimes I'd rather like to join them."
Evy shoved Jon's arm off the mummy, "Well, I wish you would do it before you ruin my career the way you've ruined yours. Hathor is the only one that our parents never had to worry about future-wise. She is a brilliant Lady of the house Saidi and even though Ausar has passed, she continues to be loved. Namesake of Goddess Hathor and she's the only one that we can not make a fool of." I frowned, "Evy, my dearest sister. Please don't make it seem you are not important too. I sense love in your future." Evy shook her head, "Love does not happen to me." Jon smiled, "Our dear, sweet baby sister. I'll have you know that, at this precise moment, my career is on a high note."
Evy scoffed, "High note, ha! Jonathan, please, I'm really not in the mood for you. I've just made a bit of a mess in the library, Hathor is in mourning, and the Bembridge scholars have rejected my application form again. They say I don't have enough experience in the field." Jon and I sat on either side of our sister and I grabbed her hand, "We will always be here, Evie. You will be the best Aunt." Jon smiled, "That's right. You'll always have us, old mum. Wait? Aunt?" I smiled and placed a hand to my stomach, "That's right, brother." Jon teared up, "Oh, my dear sister. We will take care of you. I promise. This timing is all but perfect. I'm so sorry about Ausar. Besides, I have just the thing to cheer you both up."
Jon started rummaging through the sarcophagus and Evy shook her head, "Oh, no, Jonathan, not another worthless trinket. If I take one more piece of junk to the curator to try and.....sell for you." Jon handed the box to me and I looked astonished, grabbing it from him, only to gasp and be pulled into a memory.
I spun around in my chambers and giggled as I retold the phrase that Imhotep told me to my sister, Princess Nefertiti, "Your eyes rival the Nile. Your laugh brings song to the birds. Your beauty is unlike any other. The Goddess Hathor may strike me down, but you, my Princess, are my personal Goddess of Love. And if Goddess Iris sees fit, I will make you my wife." Nefertiti squealed and grabbed my hands, spinning around with me.
I blinked and was brought back to see Evy and Jon's worried faces, "What just happened?" Evy frowned, "Are you okay?" I blinked, "I could have sworn...Nevermind. Where did you get this?" Jon laughed nervously, "On a dig down in Thebes. My whole life, I've never found anything, Evy. Please tell me I've found something." Evy looked at the box in my hand and when I clicked it open, she smiled, "Jonathan. I think you found something."

I sat in my suite on the boat and settled into my bed, "I hope Evy and Jonathan got onto the boat alright. That O'Connell man, he's brash but honest." I gasped as a hand was set on my mouth and I looked over to see a Medjai standing there. The Medjai's eyes widened, "Princess Hathor! My apologies!" I set a hand on my stomach and the Medjai quickly took his hand back, bowing deeply, "Deepest apologies. We are after the map and key to Hamunaptra. To stop the rising of the creature." I set a hand on the Medjai's arm, "Sir, I am no princess, but you are forgiven. The map has been burnt. Dr. Bey has taken care of that. The key lies on the boat. Please do not harm my siblings." The Medjai nodded softly, "Thank you, Princess. I give my word."
The Medjai ran off out of my room and not long after, I saw flames arise from the boat and I gasped, running out of my room to look for my sister, not caring about my attire.
