Hathor's POV

I stood there staring at the statue of Anubis, wondering why I was so drawn to it. I heard a horse whinny and I turned around to see Medjai rushing in and killing some of the American party. I gasped and picked up my skirts, rushing down to Evy, "Evy! Stay where you are!" Evy didn't seem to hear me and she ran to Rick. I stood in the middle of the sand, covering my mouth with my hands to see all the bloodshed from everyone.

I saw that Rick had tackled a Medjai off his horse and I sprinted over, standing in front of the Medjai, protecting him from Rick's gun, "Enough! That is enough bloodshed! Do you understand me?!" Rick and the Americans nodded as I spun around to see the Medjai, "Do you understand me?" The Medjai's eyes widened, "Princess Hathor. My greatest apologies." I set a hand to my stomach and his eyes widened more. I sighed, "I understand there is a curse. I will try and convince them to leave. It is your mission to guard whatever it is. Correct?" The Medjai nodded, "Correct. You all must leave or die. Especially you, Princess. You are most precious."

The Medjai got on a horse and they all left. I faced the groups, "There is something they don't want us to find out. I say we honor their wish." The American's egyptologist scoffed, "And what would a woman know?" Mr. Burns smiled, "See that proves it! Old Seti's fortune's got to be under this sand." I was struck with a feeling, "Seti?" I felt a nostalgic feeling and something inside me told me to smile, "Seti." With that, I fell asleep by our campfire right beside Jonathan.

------------

The next morning, we made our way back to the sarcophagus and Evy smiled, "Oh, I've dreamt about this since I was a little girl!" Rick raised an eyebrow, "You dream about dead guys?" I traced the sarcophagus, "The sacred spells have been chiseled off. This man must have been condemned not only in this life but in the next." Rick patted the sarcophagus, "Tough break." Jonathan put the key in, "Yeah, I'm all tears. Now, let's see who's inside, shall we?" Rick and Jonathan opened the sarcophagus and as Evy screamed in fright, I froze in shock as a voice spoke around me, "Princess Hathor, it is time to remember who you are. I release your memories, my child. My namesake. Remember your past life."

I gasped as I was pulled into memories.

I spun around my chambers, excited to share the news with my sister, Nefertiti, "Oh, sister. It's magical. The gods have granted Imhotep and I with child." Nefertiti gasped happily, "You are with child?! This is wonderful news, sister!" Nefertiti giggled as she stood on my balcony, looking out into the grand hall, not realizing that a young Medjai was staring up at her with a loving gaze, "I dream about finding a love like yours. I-Father?"

I looked over at her concerned, "What about Father? I have not told him yet." Nefertiti looked down and yelled, "Medjai, our father needs you!!" I gasped and hurried over to her, "Nefertiti! What is it?!" Before I could reach Nefertiti, she screamed, "No!" and fell off my balcony before I could grab her hand. I looked at the ground and sobbed into my hands, only to look to my father's chambers and gasp as Anck-Su-Namun stood over my father's dead body and yelled, "My body is no longer his temple!" I was in shock as she killed herself.

I staggered to my door and hurried to the ground level to hold my sister close, "Medjai! Medjai!" The head guard ran over and pulled me away from my sister, "Princess! Princess!" I sobbed into his chest and mourned my father and my sister who both died in a matter of minutes.

Midnight approached and the Medjai that I knew that was in love with my sister, came forward, "Princess. I can not keep it from you, even though my orders were to keep you in the dark. The High Priest is at Hamunaptra and was caught trying to resurrect Anck-Su-Namun. He will be burdened with the Hom-Dai." I gasped loudly and grabbed my cloak, rushing to my horse to stop the ritual before they finished.

I finally made my way to Hamunaptra and ran into the preparation chamber, a Medjai trying to stop me. I got on my knees in front of my love, "My love." Imhotep didn't look me in the eyes and I teared up, "My love, please. Please, gaze me in the eyes." The leader of the Medjai bowed to me, "Princess Hathor, the High Priest was caught trying to resurrect the Pharaoh's murderer and mistress." I looked at my love, betrayed, "Please tell me it's not true. Please tell me that you are not in love with my father's bride and murderer."

Imhotep looked at me and teared up, "I love you, Hathor." I sniffled, "Then why did you try to resurrect her? She killed my father and inadvertently killed my sister." Imhotep gasped, "Princess Nefertiti is dead?" I nodded, "She was on her balcony and fell after seeing our father being stabbed. I am to become the next Pharaoh's wife if you do not tell me right now why you went to her. Please for our child tell me you love me." Imhotep stayed silent and everything inside me broke as he said nothing. I choked on my tears and sobbed as I ran out of the chambers and back to my mare. I made it back home, placing a hand on my stomach, and shakily sighed, "Your father may not love me, but I will always love you. Ausar. You will be a lord from now until eternity."

My chambermaid bowed to me, "My lady. You are officially the Pharaoh until you find a husband." I took a breath, "I will not find a husband. I will rule until my son becomes of age and then I will step down to have him rule." The Vizier frowned, "Your highness, pardon me-" I interrupted him, "I am Pharaoh. I am the morning and evening star. My judgment is final." The advisor bowed, "Yes, my lady."

-

Evy stood in front of me worried, "Hathor!" I blinked and looked around, "Yes, sister?" Jon looked worried, "Are you okay?" I looked at Imhotep's body, "I am perfectly okay, siblings." Rick looked weirded out, "Why are you talking like that?" Jon waved him off, "She does that." Evy looked at an inscription that Imhotep left, "Death is only the beginning. She will pay for her crimes against my love. My Hathor." The three of them looked at me and Evy was confused, "Many people have mistaken you for a princess. You have the same name as this man's love. Reincarnation?" I took a breath, "Something like that." Rick stared at me, "She definitely knows something."

------------------

That night I stood outside of a tent that was given to me by Mr. Burns because 'A beautiful lady such as myself shouldn't harm my child laying on the sand.' I thought it was sweet but as I glanced over, I noticed my sister had opened the Book of the Dead, and my body tensed up, I whispered, "Evy. Don't do it. While I want to see my beloved. The cost is too great." Dr. Chamberlain woke up screaming, "No! You must not read from the book!" I gasped as I looked into the night to see a cloud of locusts. Jon ran over to me and started pulling me behind him as we all ran inside for cover. Jonathan held me close as Rick led the way with his torch, and then the architecture around us shifted.

I gasped in horror as small pillars from the ground lifted, "Scarabs." Jon pushed Evy and me in front of him, "Run Hathor! Run, Evy! Go, go, go! Run!" We all ran up the slope to another area and Evy and I jumped over to a ledge where the scarabs couldn't get us. I sighed and leaned against the wall, only to shriek as I fell backward and Evy came along with me.
