Tokyo Port
10:00 PMUSS Massachusetts
" Argh, how long are we gonna stay in here? It's getting boring with nothing to do "
Aboard the USS Massachusetts, the crew was growing restless. They had been waiting inside the ship for hours, and the boredom was starting to set in.
Lieutenant John Carter leaned against the wall in the mess hall, fiddling with his watch. "Is this what we're gonna do all day? Sit around and wait?" he asked no one in particular.
Across the table, Petty Officer Henry shrugged, tapping her fingers on the table. "Looks like it. Thought we'd be seeing more action or at least getting a look at this futuristic city."
Meanwhile, the same scene was playing out on the other OFN ships docked nearby. Crew members from the United Federation's UFS Valkyrie, Germania Kaiserreich's flagship, and the rest of the fleet were all in similar situations, trying to pass the time while waiting for orders.
From the ship's intercom, a sharp whistle sounded, grabbing everyone's attention. The Captain's voice came through loud and clear.
" alright People, Everyone can now get off the ship for sight seeing." The captain of the USS Massachusetts announced on the Radio.
" But y'all can't go over 30 Miles. The last thing I want on my report is about a crew missing or not finding their way back." He added.Lieutenant Carter grinned, pushing off the wall. "About time. Let's go see what this place has to offer."
As the crew of the USS Massachusetts disembarked, they soon encountered sailors from the other OFN ships. The crews of the UFS Valkyrie, the Germania Kaiserreich's flagship, and other OFN vessels found themselves gathering near the port's entrance, all equally curious about this unfamiliar world.
Captain William Hughes of the Unified Kingdom of Albion approached with a nod. "Earth... it's surreal to finally be here after all the stories from the Americans, I suppose we're all interested in seeing how it compares to home."
Petty Officer Sarah Mitchell added, "We're thinking of heading down to the bay area. Maybe check out Yokohama port to see if the Earth Federation has any of their warships docked there. Might be a good way to gauge their naval power."
Captain Franz Müller of the Germania Kaiserreich, intrigued by the idea, joined in. "That sounds promising. We should see how their technology stacks up against ours."
Lieutenant Yuki Tanaka from Yamato, who had been quietly observing, spoke up, "It's strange... this place feels both familiar and alien. I'd like to see how their ships compare to our designs."
The group of OFN sailors exited the port, their curiosity growing as they boarded a hover bus bound for Yokohama port. The bus hummed quietly as it glided through the streets of Tokyo, offering them a glimpse of the lively cityscape. Neon signs flickered above bustling shops, and the streets were filled with people going about their day. The city felt vibrant, yet strangely different from anything they had experienced before.
Lieutenant John Carter, seated near the window, couldn't help but compare it to the cities back on Osteria. "It's like nothing I've ever seen," he murmured, watching the blur of life outside.
The hover bus finally arrived at Yokohama port, and the sailors disembarked, eager to explore. They made their way through the port, anticipation building as they neared the docks where Earth Federation's warships were supposedly stationed.
But before they could even glimpse the fleet, something else caught their attention. Standing tall amidst the structures of the port was a colossal figure-an 18-meter white and blue robot, perfectly still yet imposing.
