Hot Chocolate Illness

Before I start, I just wanted to say that I'm writing this only because I am actually kinda sick myself and I can actually relate to it.

It was a rainy night. Shadow was watching TV and planned on going to sleep soon. Rouge wasn't home at the moment so all Shadow could do is to do something himself.

He decided that there's nothing interesting on the TV so he just turned if off and went to his room to go to sleep. Before he stood to he saw a fast blue light through his window. Shadow came closer to see what was that. At first he thought it was a lightning but it didn't look like one. The hedgehog became curious so he was still staring through the window to see if he can notice that again. That's when he heard scream and then a bang outside right after a lightning stroke. Someone was around his house. Shadow decided to chcek it out because the scream sounded familiar. He was just hoping it won't be his blue self as it always is...

He put on his air-shoes and took an umbrella since it was pouring rain. It was a bit slippery outside. Shadow went to the place where he heard the scream and before he could see who that was he saw something glowing blue. He sighed.

"I saw you, Faker."

It was obvious that it was Sonic just hanging around his house. Then Sonic came back looking defeated from the back of the house where he hid to avoid Shadow noticing him.

"What are you doing here hedgehog, it's not a good weather to run in."

"Is that so? Why do you care about what I should do and when I should do it, hmm??"

Shadow groaned. Blue was right but Shadow wouldn't admit it.

"What are you doing here."

"Just went out for a run. Nothing else."

"Around my house?"

Sonic looked away avoiding Shadow's sight. It was obvious that it wasn't only about a run but it was too embarrassing for him to actually say it.

"Well?"

Shadow added still waiting for Sonic's response.

"Okay, fine. I lost my keys and Tails took my spare one. I was just wondering if maybe I could stay at your house for tonight because it's raining."

Shadow was a bit surprised but did expect something like that form him.

"Why can't you go to that pink hedgehog Amy? Or that red Echidna?"

"Amy is with Rouge in Cream's house and they're having a girls sleepover and Knuckles is always sleeping outside since he's guarding The Master Emerald. Tails is nowhere to be found and he doesn't answer my calls, he's probably sleeping already. The only option I have is you or Eggman but I don't think Eggface would want me in his lair and I don't want that too. So there's just you."

"Or you can sleep outside or in some kind of hotel."

"But they're expensive!! Please Shadow! You're my only hope!"

Sonic put his hands together begging Shadow to let him stay over. The edge-hog sighed again.

"Only once."

He agreed for Sonic to stay since he remembered that he screamed when the lighting stroke so that'll mean that he's probably afraid of the thunder. Also, it would be not only mean but also heartless for Shadow to just leave Sonic outside in a weather like this.

"Yuppers!!"

Sonic jumped and ran up to Shadow hugging him only to be quickly pushed away by the other one.
