Chapter Eleven: The night war

Ducked down behind an old dirty van Jay, Lexus, Jason, and Laura, all looked on as Vulders camp unpacked their supplies from an old beat up truck and went inside. Laura huddled closer to the other three and told them what they needed to know "That truck will only have half its load dropped here, the other half will be driven to and stored in their warehouse outpost about two miles from here.. I say we start walking now since the only people there are Clyde and Jim".

Jason asks Laura "What about Clyde and Jim"? She responds "We get there first and kill them, when these assholes roll up it should be about three or four deep.. if we surprise them we can take them all".

Hearing a knock on the door, Clyde a big husky and foul smelling man opened the door only to receive Laura's nine inch blade straight to the Adams Apple. Jim stands up to investigate the commotion just as Jason steps over Clyde's corpse and shoots him in the eye socket with a bolt, falling to the ground yelling with pain and anguish, blood gushing from his eye Jim continues to howl in agony.

Rushing over to him, Jay grabs a nearby 80 pound weight and drops it on the mans skull, with a sickening crackle and pop it sends the man into a seizure.

Just as they are about to finish him off they hear a vehicle approach and decide to hide. The axis death causing most automotives to cease operation Laura says "told you I'd get us a ride, try not to damage the vehicle". Watching the headlights go just as dark as the world outside...they waited.

A man approaches the door, Jay is waiting right on the inside, when the man walks in Jay takes fishing wire and wraps it around the mans neck. Pulling him to the side Jay shoves the rusty hook in the mans esophagus and uses the wire to rip his head completely from his torso. Another man comes in hearing the commotion but is stabbed in the neck by Lexus, Piercing one side of his wind pipe and protruding through the other side, the man trying to gasp for any form of oxygen let's out a low whistle sound as he choked to death on his own blood.

Lex barley has enough time to see the large man barreling towards her with full speed, he reaches and punches her in the abdomen, knocking her down, he kicks her face causing Jason to completely snap.

He grabs the man by the face and gouges his eyes, the guy let's out a horrowing scream as Jason grabs some nearby pliers and pulls his nose off with them, blood spurting onto the floor as the man snorted for air. As Jason was going to torture him further Lex grabs Jason's weapon and shoots the man in the head, killing him instantly. "What the fuck did you do that for"? Jason yelled angrily, Lex replied "we don't fucking torture people Jason.. you know that's... that's not us.."

Jason looks at her with a cold glare "it is now" he says in a low monotone voice, he continues "anyone that fucks with anyone of you... I'll fuckin kill them.." he then begins to look around for supplies while the others just stare at him... not sure what to do or if.. there was anything to even be done... They were worried Jason was losing it.

"Just help me keep an eye on him is all I'm saying" Jay said in a whispering manner, Lex looked at him with anger in her eyes and said "Did you not hear him?" He isn't a threat to us.. he made that clear..." Jay looked at Laura and then back at Lexus "You know I would never hurt Jason, he's like a... He's family now.." He continued "I was just saying if he seems like he slipping a little to far maybe we, I don't know restrain him or something" Laura chimed in "yeah that won't piss him the fuck off and make him snap even worse"

Jason walks over to them and says "y'all are whispering and awful lot, find something good y'all don't wanna share"? He asked with a grin. Just at that moment they heard a thud outside.

"Lex and Laura you two stay here, Jason cover me" Jay said as he went for the door.

They both went outside, weapons ready and saw an unusual sight. Keeping his weapon drawn Jason steps in front of Jay and approaches the man with a bag on his head.
