Nayeon slowly opened her eyes, her head was still fuzzy from the deep sleep she was having, she was slightly irritated from being woken from the dream she was having but she smiled as she became aware of her surroundings. Her arms were wrapped around Y/n and her head was laying on her warm chest; she’d missed this the week she’d stayed away, to Nayeon there was nothing better than waking up like this after an evening of headaches.

‘Hm, what do you want?’ Nayeon grumbled, her voice was still weak with sleep ‘it's not morning yet’

‘Can you uh- go to the other side of the bed?’

She felt hurt, the lingering confusion of waking up had made her forget hers and Y/n’s situation and the pain of her constantly being pushed away. She nuzzled her head down closer into Y/n’s chest closing her eyes tight.

‘I’m too tired, just let me have this, you’re too comfy’ she’d lost all of Y/n’s affection, she couldn’t lose this as well, she didn’t want to; she knew it was selfish to confuse her like this but she was too tired to care.

Y/n sat up carefully peeling Nayeon off with an expressionless face.

‘I’m going to sleep on the couch tonight’

‘I’ll move’ Nayeon reluctantly sighed ‘you don’t have to leave, the couch is too uncomfortable for me to let you do that’

‘Thanks’

Nayeon moved over to the other side of the bed and watched as Y/n turned away from her and wrap the covers around herself not even giving her a second look. She crashed down into the covers and tried to get comfortable in her side of the bed, the cold sheets were unpleasant compared to Y/n’s warm body but most of all she just felt sad, the feeling of being pushed away like that hurt, it made her know that Y/n was serious about keeping her out rather than just punishing her for a bit. She waited for Y/n to wake back up and tell her she was joking and that it was funny seeing her hurt reaction but it never happened and by the sound of Y/n’s low snores she knew it wasn’t going to happen any time soon.

In the morning she woke up, a hole in her stomach formed as she saw the bed empty next to her. With a stretch she climbed out of bed barefoot and walked out to the bedroom. There she saw Y/n sitting at the table with a mug of coffee, already dressed in her business suit, eyes glued to her laptop screen.

‘Morning’ Nayeon yawned walking over to their coffee maker ‘you’re up early’

‘I was sick of you kicking me all night’ Y/n frowned taking a sip of her drink.

‘I think you deserved it’ Nayeon scowled remembering how Y/n pushed her away last night, she was still not over the hurt.

‘I set boundaries, I don’t see what's bad about that’

‘I just thought-‘ Nayeon paused, she shouldn’t try to argue, she understood that Y/n had to set her boundaries and she was going to try her best to respect them; anything to try and win her back ‘Don’t worry, do you want me to make you breakfast?’

’Nah this coffee should be enough’

‘Are you sure? because I was going to make myself something anyway’

‘I'm sure’

Nayeon went into the kitchen and took two large blueberry muffins out of the cupboard along with two glasses of juice. Trying to keep her balance she took them back out to where Y/n was sitting. She sat down opposite her presenting the muffin and juice.

‘Eat.’

‘I told you I’m not hungry’ Y/n firmly stated continuing typing on her computer.

‘Please just have half of it, you can’t function on just coffee’ Nayeon requested sadly, she felt like a nagging mother but she didn’t mind, as a wife she felt it was her job to make sure Y/n was staying healthy ‘I’ll leave you alone if you try to eat it’
