Y/n sat laying on her couch, scrolling through her message log with Nayeon. It had been two weeks and she still hadn’t heard from her, not even one word. She sighed at her last messages, she wasn’t sure if she had gone to overboard. All she wanted was her back.

Y/n: I’m sorry. (read)

Y/n: Hey, how are you feeling today? (read)

Y/n: Did you get the flowers and chocolates I sent you? (read)

Y/n: I got some tickets to a movie, if you want to come with me. (read)

Y/n: I’m feeling lonely, do you want to come over? (read)

Y/n: I went to the movie alone today, there were a lot of couples. Reminded me of how much I miss you. (read)

Y/n: I understand you’re mad at me but please say something, I know I don’t deserve it but the silence is killing me (read)

She slammed her phone down on the floor as she saw that Nayeon had read her most recent message. She didn’t feel like this was fair, she knew Nayeon didn’t like big gestures but she was getting desperate now, she wasn’t sure what she could do to get Nayeon to forgive her but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t going to try until she did. She wasn’t going to give up, she would wait forever if she had to.

With frustration she got off the sofa and changed into her work clothes, buttoning up her shirt and fixing her hair until she looked somewhat presentable. Work wasn’t something she was enjoying lately, she couldn’t stop thinking about everything that has been happening lately. Things would be different if she wasn’t so dependant on her father for a job and her wellbeing, she was an adult now, why does she continue to let herself be treated like an idiotic child?

Sitting at her desk she kept peering down at her phone, hoping that Nayeon had read her message on accident and planned to reply later, she knew that was wishful thinking but having hope was one of the only things getting her through the day. Quickly she dropped her phone underneath the desk as her father entered the room without warning, hoping he wouldn’t notice she wasn’t paying much attention to her work.

‘Y/n I have good news.’ He smiled sitting down in front of her. ‘Remember that really important potential investor we lost a while ago?’

‘Yeah?’ She remembered that investor too well, the one who had gone out of his way to make her feel awful and who had no sense of boundaries, the one she got a terrible scolding for calling security on even though he made her feel extremely unsafe, she shivered thinking back on the horrors of that day, although the massage Nayeon gave her made her feel a lot better…her and her amazing hands…

‘Since our company is doing well at the moment he is interested in investing again, I need you to not screw this up again and meet with him at three’

‘Why can't you do it?’ She replied, visibly uncomfortable, the last thing she wanted to do was have to deal with some creepy investor.

‘I’m busy at that time but I’ll give you the files, everything you need to say will be out in front of you.’

‘I’m not doing it.’ She firmly stated, crossing her arms ‘get mom or another higher up to do it, I refuse to work with someone like that, do you not remember what happened last time?’

‘What happened last time was you lost your cool and messed up a good deal.’ He argued, clearly getting irritated ‘if you do this I’ll be able to look over your declining quality of work lately.’

‘I have been stressed out lately, you cannot blame me for doing shitty work and not wanting to speak to an investor whose just going to make comments on my body the whole time.’
