Vivian's POV

I was leaving the room when I saw beautiful blonde hair leaving the office, immediately I knew it was her. We have only known each other a few weeks and already she is so important to me and I think the feelings are mutual. At least I hope they are. I approach her

"Well well, fancy seeing you here"

"Would you look at that." she said

"Funny how you're always here at the exact time I'm dropping off Jamie" I pointed out, even though I know she does it on purpose.

"We can't rely on the system here to work, but we can always rely on it to break down at the exact same time every week" she simply explained.

"Funny that" I paused "About our next meeting I thought we could switch it up and..." but before I could finish my sentence I noticed something on her hand. I kept telling myself it couldn't be it was impossible, but it was.  Sitting on her right ring finger was a beautiful emerald engagement ring. She realized what I was looking at, and I could see the panic across her face.

"That's a nice ring," I said. I could see she was panicked and hurt by the situation, but I couldn't help but think. How could she do this? I thought she would eventually take my help and leave "Mr. Possessive", but she said yes to him. I guess it was all in my head.

"About our next coffee meetup, I'm gonna have to cancel it," I said. I didn't want to cancel but I need time to myself.

"Oh," Siobhan said.

"Congratulations," I said and made my way to the door.

"Viv" I heard her call after me, but I needed to leave. I needed to be away from her right now, cause the longer I looked into her eyes while she wore his ring the more I wanted to start sobbing. I made it to my car and as I was opening my door and getting in I heard her again "Viv, wait".

I drove away as fast as I could. I could not cry in front of her right now.

Siobhan's POV

She drove away. She wouldn't even look at me. I knew she wasn't going to be happy about it hell neither am I, but I didn't think she would just leave like that.

"Well, are you going to go after her?" I heard Marjorie behind me.

"Why would I do a thing like that?" I asked but in reality, I wanted to go chasing after her.

"Come, Siobhan, I watch that whole interaction. It is blatantly obvious how you feel," Marjorie explained. I turned around to face her and she had a huge smile on her face.

"I don't know what you talking about." I lied. Her smile faded and she now had a sad look

"My love, I think you do. What I can't seem to figure out is why did you say yes to him if you want to be with her?" She asked as she stepped closer.

"Marjorie, drop it." I snapped hoping she would, but no such luck.

"No, I will not. I haven't seen you smile the way you do with Vivian in years. Why can't you just admit you have feelings for her?" she snapped back.

"Because" was all I was able to get out.

"Because what?" She asked. I couldn't get my voice to work I was frozen. She spoke again "Siobhan, Because what?"

"Because, no matter how much I love her I can never be with her. It's just not my reality. My reality is with him" I said as I raised my right hand gesturing to the ring that sat on my finger.

She took that same hand in hers and said "It doesn't have to be your reality. You can say no."

"I can't. He won't allow it" I whispered looking at the ground. I continue "I wish I could say no. I wish I could leave him. I wish I could love her the way she deserves, But the reality is I don't have a choice, and the best thing she can do is to forget she ever met me. I'm just going to get her killed." I stood there for a few seconds then Marjorie put her hand on my cheek making me look at her before saying
