As Rain’s week at his secret home drew to a close, he felt a newfound sense of calm. The time away had given him perspective, and he was ready to return to university with a clearer mind. Alex had become a source of comfort and companionship, and Rain looked forward to seeing where this new connection might lead.

When Rain arrived back at university, he was met with a mix of curiosity and concern from his peers. Phayu, however, seemed to be particularly relieved to see him.

“Rain! You’re back,” Phayu said with a warm smile, his eyes betraying a hint of worry. “I’m glad to see you.”

Rain nodded, trying to mask his nervousness. “Yeah, I needed some time off. I’m feeling better now.”

Phayu’s expression softened. “I’m really sorry if I did anything to upset you. Melanie and I... well, it’s been a lot.”

Rain took a deep breath. “Phayu, it’s not just about you and Melanie. I had to sort out some things for myself. But I’m okay now, really.”

Phayu looked relieved but still concerned. “If you ever need to talk or anything, I’m here.”

“Thanks,” Rain said. “I appreciate it.”

As they walked to class, Rain found himself falling into a more comfortable routine. He reconnected with old friends and started focusing more on his studies and personal interests. The pain he had felt regarding Phayu and Melanie began to fade, replaced by a growing sense of optimism.

Rain also continued to spend time with Alex, and their bond deepened. They explored the city together, shared meals, and had long conversations that left Rain feeling understood and valued. Alex’s genuine interest in Rain’s life and dreams made him feel like he was finally being seen for who he truly was.

One evening, as they were sitting in a park, Alex turned to Rain with a thoughtful expression. “You know, Rain, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you. You’re an amazing person, and I’m glad we met.”

Rain smiled, feeling a warmth in his chest. “I feel the same way, Alex. You’ve been really great to me.”

Alex reached out and gently took Rain’s hand. “I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes. But no pressure, okay? I just want us to keep enjoying each other’s company and see what happens.”

Rain felt a surge of hope. “That sounds perfect.”

As the weeks went by, Rain and Alex’s relationship grew stronger. Rain found himself laughing more, feeling more confident, and appreciating the small moments of joy in life. He also noticed a change in how he felt about Phayu. The pain was still there, but it no longer consumed him.

One day, Rain received a message from Jason, who was planning to visit soon. Jason had heard about Rain’s progress and was eager to catch up. Rain eagerly looked forward to reconnecting with his friend and sharing his journey.

Rain had come a long way from the heartache he felt a few weeks earlier. With Alex by his side, his own personal growth, and the support of friends like Jason, he felt ready to embrace whatever the future held. Life was still full of uncertainties, but Rain was determined to face them with hope and resilience.
