Phayu’s point of view:

---

Phayu had been keeping a close eye on Rain's absence, worried about his friend. The sudden message from Rain, saying he needed a week off to be with his cousins, had left Phayu feeling unsettled. He knew something was wrong, but Rain had brushed off his attempts to talk.

As the days went by, Phayu found himself preoccupied with Rain’s absence. Melanie, his girlfriend, tried to be supportive, but Phayu’s mind was elsewhere. He couldn’t shake the worry that Rain was going through something difficult. The joy of his relationship with Melanie seemed overshadowed by his concern for his friend.

The day Rain returned, Phayu felt a mix of relief and apprehension. He approached Rain with a hopeful smile, trying to mask his anxiety. “Rain! You’re back,” he said, hoping to bridge the gap that had formed between them. “I’m glad to see you.”

Phayu noticed Rain’s guarded expression and the way he seemed to avoid eye contact. “I’m really sorry if I did anything to upset you. Melanie and I... well, it’s been a lot.”

Rain’s response was measured. “It’s not just about you and Melanie. I had to sort out some things for myself. But I’m okay now, really.”

Phayu’s heart sank a little at Rain’s words. It was clear that there was more beneath the surface. “If you ever need to talk or anything, I’m here.”

As they walked to class together, Phayu tried to gauge Rain’s mood, but his friend remained distant. Despite this, Phayu was determined to support him in any way he could. He noticed Rain re-engaging with old friends and starting to focus more on his studies, but he still felt a lingering sense of unease.

Phayu observed Rain’s interactions with Alex, a new person Rain had been spending time with. Phayu couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy and concern, wondering if Rain had found solace in someone else. He tried to push these feelings aside, reminding himself that Rain deserved to be happy, no matter what that meant for their friendship.

One evening, after a particularly draining day, Phayu found himself reflecting on his own feelings. He realized that his concern for Rain had made him question his own choices and feelings. Phayu recognized that he had been so focused on Rain’s struggles that he hadn’t given himself time to process his own emotions.

The following week, Phayu received a message from Jason, who was planning to visit. Phayu was relieved to know that Rain had someone like Jason in his corner. It also reminded him that he needed to be patient and supportive, even if it meant stepping back a little to allow Rain to find his own way.

As Phayu continued to navigate his own emotions and support Rain from a distance, he hoped that time would heal the rift between them. He missed the closeness they once shared and wished for a resolution that would allow them both to move forward, whether as friends or in some other capacity.

Phayu knew that life was complicated and that relationships were never simple. But he was committed to being there for Rain, even if it meant waiting for the right moment to reconnect and rebuild their friendship. For now, he would focus on his own growth and the love he had for Melanie, while keeping a hopeful eye on the future.
