Humbling the waves who oppose them
A terror roars on the high seas
Inklings of value are snuffed through plunder
Daring to stand against the tide
All is renewed at the potlatch
The tribes are now one big family scattered
Lunging in droves for the high tiny ball
Instinctive regalia flaunts at a raucous ceremony
Nothing will stop the divine servant on his mission
Gentle turtles will have their old shells sing
In his natural element amongst the towering woods
The fur trapper never saw it coming
Mazes of dark forest contain hidden wonders
Endowed in hardy otter furs
Trying to make their own way in the new world
In between two lives entire worlds apart
Scavengers dressed of blood gather
