(Now the story will be more based around magic and folklore, than historical themes hehhehe)
(And also really exciting long chapter ahead!!)The clouds departed for the queen of moonlight that enraptured on the ground, the stars singing finally being revealed, the waves were in the distance, crashing against the rocks, the water illuminating, awake and alive, the moon blooming, inspired.
The smell of flames were strong in the air, faint screams could still be heard, and the rushed sounds on the beach were heard, as they raced to Yunho's hideout, soon, the red coats would find them, and they only hoped that the waves could wash away their secrets, as they rushed away into a deep cave into the beach.
Yunho's hideout was a cave on the coastline, the waves right by it, Seonghwa could taste the salt and ocean breeze on his tongue, his soul clutched for the sea, however his heart desired something else entirely, the night breeze was picking up, enchanting the night even more, a night that Seonghwa has always liked since he was a goddess, the nights where the sea and land meet.
He closed his eyes, and held his arms out to side of him, basking in the moonlight, letting the oceans waves fill his ears, and letting the waves touch his feet, when he opened his eyes after a pure moments of peace, his blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight, oh, how he would kill to experience this every night.
"It's pretty tonight isn't it?" The voice of Hongjoong echoed, Seonghwa felt nervousness in his body now, as they hadn't been together alone yet, Seonghwa knew Hongjoong had questions.
Seonghwa turned his eyes and looked Hongjoong who had a wave of panic, staring at the waves, like he was uncomfortable with the waves. "Yes, its gorgeous tonight."
Hongjoong buried his bare feet into the soft sand, his arms around his chest, staring away at the ocean in front of them, before slowly nodding at Seonghwa's response, "Yeah your right, Yunho wanted me to tell you that the beef kabobs will be done soon, and was wondering if you wanted one."
Seonghwa gulped, he never eats 'human food' in his human form, he never had the desire to eat and drink, because as a god, Seonghwa never needed to eat, but, he had look like he was one of them.
"Sure, i'll take a few, hopefully they are good," Seonghwa mumbled in unsure tone.
Hongjoong gave him a odd look, but stopped it eventually before walking away with the answer.
Seonghwa turned his head to look at Hongjoong as he was leaving, suddenly he felt alone, and he hasn't felt that in long time, sighing, he turned his head, he looked at the moon, then he remember something, the sirens.
They all found themselves cris-crossed around a small fire in Yunho's cave, the smell of meat flooded the air, Yunho was chomping down on piece of meat, as if this was the best meal he ever had, Hongjoong was eating hard too, but not as aggressive as Yunho, at least he had some manners, Seonghwa sat there fidgeting with the meat stick in his hand.
Yunho swallowed aggressively, before clicking his mouth open, "Seonghwa, do you not like it?"
Seonghwa gulped, "I just haven't had meat in awhile thats all-"
Yunho start chucking at Seonghwa before leaning forward and pushing the kabob to his mouth, forcing Seonghwa to bite down. "Eat, tomorrow we get on ship and sail, to Emerald Cove."
Hongjoong nearly choked on his kabob after hearing that, and Seonghwa slowly starting the meat, which had no flavor to him.
"E-emerald Cove?" Hongjoong voice and body language reeked of anxiety as he said that.
Seonghwa understood why, Emerald Cove was one of the most dangerous places in all the seas, it was a place for ocean's cruelest pirates, thieves, and people who revolted against the British Empire, even he flow in deep seas, even the deepest mermaids knew of Emerald Cove and they never came up.
Yunho smirked, "I have to get back with my crew, we have a big plan, a plan to get rid of the British, though, it will take 4 days to get Emerald Cove, we have to be careful."
Hongjoong breathed in and out deeply, calming himself, then, something obvious was clear. "Wait- Yun, you don't even have a ship!"
Yunho just smirked, "No, but Old Man Richard does." Yunho winking at Hongjoong.
Hongjoong gave him a surprised, "No! You mad man!"
Yunho just laughed away, Seonghwa had no idea who this was, he kept trying to eat the Kabob as this all played out in front of him.
Yunho started smacking Hongjoong as he was laughing so hard. "We all know that british prison guard was more pirate than us! he looked nothing like a red coat! long beard, a eye missing, and a bright golden tooth and a harsh aim, I'm sure he misses us-" Yunho said laughing.
Seonghwa stared at Hongjoong and Yunho as they laughing, Seonghwa looked at them envy, Seonghwa can't remember the last time he laughed like that, the brightest smiles, not a care in the world, despite his hatred for humans, he was envious how care-free they were and how they would naturally die one day.
Seonghwa gently smiled at them, though, he was not excited about the Journey he was about to go through.
The last few hours of night was here, and Hongjoong couldn't sleep, he wasn't tired at all, he looked around, the campfire was blown out, Yunho on his mat, and Seonghwa's on his, the stars being the only light in the cave, he turned and twisted, sleeping on rocks and sand wasn't a pleasure, and missed his old bed.
When he finally got comfortable, and closed his eyes, a strange melody flooded the air, a singular feminine voice singing beautifully, Hongjoong slowly propped himself up as from his position, the others out cold, however he couldn't have the ability to ignore the beautiful voice.
He slowly got up, he wanted to see the singer, ask her why the hell is she on the far end of the beach, where nobody is.
As he walked and the sand crunched between his toes, he left the entrance by a pretty woman on the beach, in the water, she was standing it looked like as she was singing to the moon, Hongjoong halted his movement, she had long blonde hair, and it looked like she was being blessed as she sparkled in the few moments of moonlight that was left.
Hongjoong could feel his body relax and submit to the sound of her voice, it sounded like heaven, it was in the alto range, easy hitting the low and high notes like gentle water.
She swiftly turned around, her face beaming, she possessed the same shade of blue eyes that Seonghwa had, Hongjoong felt allure by her, he just naturally surrendered to the beautiful blonde woman.
She stopped her singing, her eyes glowed at Hongjoong, she didn't say any words, she stuck out her hand, her soft beautiful hand that some strands on her hair rested on.
Hongjoong found himself pulled even more, he took in her hand, her hand was so soft like velvet, once he took it, she start singing in those low beautiful hums of hers, they slowly walked towards the ocean away from the coast, Hongjoong had no worries, despite his very intense phobia of water and what is in it.
The waves got stronger, pulling and pushing, the water now to their knees, cold, extremely cold, he was shivering but with the beautiful woman he felt safe, the grip on his hand got tighter, suddenly danger filled his body.
The waves were now furious, lighting in the distance cracking, the beautiful woman now a disgusting creature of scales and sharp teeth, he let out a grithy scream before being pulled and being submered under the cold water.
The creature now glowing, with a strong tail, her hair was even longer in her true form, snarls and growls could be heard in the water, as Hongjoong tried to pull away from her.
He couldn't feel his body now, as it was becoming now numb to the cold water, soon they nearing close to the black void of the deep where light finally did not reach, he could feel his body going weak each second, then, in the instant, memories of his mother and him drowning in beautiful dance flooded his mind.
His lasts thoughts were going to be of her, he felt peace in that realization.
There was now multiple sirens surrounding him, like a school of fish, each of different color and beauty, their scales created the light in the dark place, slowly they started playing with their prey.
Grabbing Hongjoong pulling him down, then pulling him up, pulling his hair, saying things in their anicent ocean language that only the seas spoke of, they ripped away his shirt, revealing a poor body, as he spent the last decade rotting away.
Hongjoong screamed, and tried to pull away, but there was just to many of them, and he was never a good swimmer, their claws digged into his skin causing him extreme pain,
They were now getting hungry and patient, their now fangs were now bared at him, and Hongjoong was so weak, he honestly had no idea how he survived this long, or why they even let him live this long as they were in no rush apparently.
Just as they were about to have their dinner, they all quite snarling and being snappy, they all looked up for a split second, before scurrying away into the darkness, Hongjoong could feel himself going down to the bottom, he closed his eyes as the finally air bubbles left.
But then he felt the grip of a man, a strong man, his mind was so out of it, but he partly opened his eyes, to see the pale sea eyes of Seonghwa staring back at him, he was glowing, he was glowing so much, he looked like a angel, he looked like a goddess.
Seonghwa's were filled were worry, as he placed his hand on Hongjoong chest, feeling his beating heartbeat, panicked, leaving no other choice, Seonghwa grabbed him softly and placed his lips on Hongjoong's
Seonghwa gave Hongjoong oxygen, but it felt so much than that, it felt as the very energy of the sea swirled in him now, for a split second, he felt heavenly, he could see all his vines in his body light up neon blue, Seonghwas eyes glowed the most prominent shade of blue.
Breaking away, Seonghwa surged up to the top, as if the water was nothing to him, as they came up closer, Hongjoong could now see the morning colors of pink, yellow and orange sparkling through the water, the sun had awoke.
However, Hongjoong could feel his heartbeat slow, and he closed his eyes, though they were not eyes of dying, as they were once used to be, now finally his body could relax as he finally felt safe.

Yunho watched Seonghwa and Hongjoong submerged from the ocean, them both gasping, Yunho will never forget the panic Seonghwa had when he realized Hongjoong wasn't there and saw a woman's footprints, it's like he knew, Yunho caught the idea that this 'thief' was much more than he seemed, however, he was going to let that merged by itself, and not ask questions.
Seonghwa pulled Hongjoong to the beach, his face filled with millions of expressions, Yunho couldn't tell, but one was very clear and that was worry.
Seonghwa rested Hongjoong's body on the sand, a storm of cuss words left his mouth, as he looked at the injuries.
"Yunho! Yunho! get seaweed and moss! we need to wrap these!" Seonghwa spoke with such a sterness and dominance that it spook Yunho, and run across the beach collecting the items.
After awhile Yunho had collected the seaweed and moss, Seonghwa and Yunho started wrapping Hongjoong's bloody and deep injuries.
"What the hell happened down there?" Yunho questioned
Seonghwa sighed "You live very close to a siren's waterhole, your lucky they ate previously, or Hongjoong would be a mere skeleton in the bottom of the ocean! that does explains the random disappearances, i told them to move somewhere else!"
Seonghwa face was now full of rage, fuming about the sirens, which left Yunho confused "What- what are you talking about? were you raised by them? how did you manage to pull Hongjoong from them?!"
Seonghwa stopped in his tracks, finding his words very carefully "I've lived on the sea my whole life, you tend to pick up a thing or two-" He gulped, he was now nervous for a reason Yunho couldn't figure out.
Suddenly, Seonghwa pressed his hand against Hongjoong's forehead, he was burning up, which wasn't good thing, in fact, it was a fatal thing.
"Shit! hes burning up!"
Yunho widened his eyes, "Did he catch siren fever?! i thought-"
"Yunho, he got scratched badly, some sirens are venomous, fuck!"
Seonghwa deeply annoyed with himself, his magic couldn't save, as the vemon comes from him, but then he remembered something.
"Dead man isle." Seonghwa mumbled.
Yunho looked at him wide eye and utter disbelief "No man has ever been to dead man isle! that place is for people with death wishes!"
"Your correct, no man, but im not your typical man, theres only one way we can save him, and thats if we can get the antidote."
"Where the hell can you get that?!"
"From the queen herself."Seonghwa sounded insane, "Oh mighty sea lords! Seonghwa you are crazy! you really want to confront the queen of the sirens?! No man lives to tell her tale for a reason! and who knows if she is actually real! why won't let you Hongjoong die? thats been his wish all his life anyway."
Seonghwa felt the wave of rage flushed over him, when he heard the words 'why won't let you Hongjoong die? thats been his wish all his life anyway.' His hands balled into fist, then he violently turned to Yunho, his chest heaving, self-control being difficult.
"You shut it! you don't understand!" Seonghwa yelled at the top of his chest.
Yunho gulped, his eyes widened when he saw that side of Seonghwa, worrying that he might hurt him, he clearly wasn't normal.
"S-sorry i didn't mean it like that-" Yunho whispered being so small.
Seonghwa huffed, clearly very upset, before picking up Hongjoong and bringing him to the cave, where he rested on seonghwa's mat, the mat most comfortable, Seonghwa kept feeling his temperature, it slowly increasing, the sickness was spreading faster than usual, then he looked on how skinny and malnourished Hongjoong was, his body not healthy at all, his immune system weak.
Seonghwa how long he had to be gone for, at least in mortal years, to him it was nothing, but he slowly cupped Hongjoong's resting face, he could see still see the spark in his soul, Hongjoong had changed so much, and Seonghwa had not noticed, he wasn't the young boy he once knew and that wrenched his heart.
He should've been there, but he couldn't, because of his curse, it was his punishment after-all and maybe, just one day Hongjoong would understand that.
Seonghwa could hear Yunho's slow footstops in the sand, watching closely, he could heard his deep breathing, Yunho was still scared of him, this Yunho was't as big as a threat now as he seemed, if anything he was arrogant and stupid, at least he kept hongjoong alive for this long, Seonghwa should be more thankful.
"Seonghwa, sorry to bother you, but i have plans-"
"And your plans can wait, you don't understand" Seonghwa snapped back, anger still in his tone.
"Please hwa- my crew-"
Seonghwa so sick of mortals and their crews, the crews that destroyed the very seas, showing no thankfulness, killing all of his animals, his children, they no longer sing like they used to because of the man-race, they hide in fear and paranoia, sickening, humans have lost their ways with their creators and it shows.
"And my Joong, we both must await for what we want yes?"
Yunho stopped his words, Seonghwa was right, but Yunho was curious, "Really why do you love him?"
Seonghwa snapped his head at Yunho, "Don't you dare call it love! it is not, but respect and admiration! you don't know what Hongjoong has been through."
Yunho scoffed, "Me and him were cellmates for a decade, you think i don't know, hes told me everything, a dying man speaks the wisest words they say, and thats what you are a dying man but no so wise, i think anyone can tell you love him! no man cares for another man like this! not even a fool would deny that!"
Seonghwa sighed, did he perhaps love Hongjoong? was he just merely fascinated by his soul? by his existence? was that love? he didn't have the answers, and had no idea on where to begin to find them, now he was confused.
Yunho kneeled down to the both of them, "Seonghwa, it is okay to love y'know?" Yunho whispered.
Seonghwa pushed him away gently "Will you shush with the sappy talk? we need to make a plan, i will not Hongjoong die, such a horrible death, call me a mad man but we will go to dead man isle if we must! i will find a way to cure him if i have to die for it."
Yunho wipped off the dust from his pants, and sighed, "Hwa, you know what the tales say, and as i said before, nobody knows where dead man isle is, and plus we don't even have a ship! i needed Hongjoong to get the ship, and i don't trust you enough to get a ship together, what if you leave me? or snitch on me? you know of our plans!"
"Yunho, i wouldn't do that, and i couldn't do that to hongjoong, he cares about you to much, and besides who says i havem't stolen imperial ships before?" Seonghwa smirked.
Seonghwa was indeed mad.
