LONG ASS CHAPTER AHEAD!!! ENJOY!! (it will be long ass chapter, it will mostly involve- Seonghwa's hidden lore (speaking about Seonghwa's curse), Yunho lore, the Deathroses, The almost romantical relationship between HJ and Hwa, what The Locker was, the sirens, Somi's importance.

Also side note, this chapter talks a lot about Seonghwa/Calypso, and switching pronouns if your confused, for when the context is talking the godly form of Calpyso, she/her pronouns will be used, for more physical mortal things, Seonghwa will be used and he/him pronouns i promise it will make sense in the chapter once you read it, gentle reminder that Seonghwa is Calypso.

And Seonghwa is only a physical vessel for the time-being, and she can change physical forms of her 'vessel body'

8 DAYS LEFT

---
(Flashback to Yunho)

When Yunho opened the door, the musky smell invaded, laughs of men and women could be heard, rough make out sessions could be heard, the dogs barking, the footsteps of drunk people.

It was just like any other city, except, it was underground, and much much more dangerous, as everything was a hushed secret here.

And Yunho could hear familiar footsteps behind him.

The sounds keys jiggling on the strangers belt, the scent flooded Yunho, the smell of alcohol that radiated from the stranger, soft chuckles left the strangers mouth, "Well well, look what we have yer here, me boy decided to come back."

That deep raspy voice sent chills down Yunho's back,  the pirate accent, Yunho's old accent that rotted of where he lived, how did he find him so quick? it was like he almost knew that Yunho would come back, After-all Yunho did always come back home everything he ran away from home, swearing up and down that he would never return, but he found his way back, head down, his father eyeing him down like a pure freak of nature, with a bottle in his hand.

"Father-"

"I aint your damn father, you made that very clear the last time you were here, saying that i cursed you, that i hurt you, but remember who pulled you from her waters."

Captain Changbin was completely right, they did get in a big fight, because he failed his mission, but it was a impossible even the captain didn't know how to do it, at least not now, he knew he was his only son on a death mission, Yunho was aware of it, but he came back for only one reason and that reason was Mingi.

He turned around, the captain had aged greatly since what happened 12 years ago, when Yunho was only 14, he grew up quick, but captain always kept his words, which meant he had Mingi.

"I want Mingi." Yunho said loud and clear.

The Capin just stared at him blanked face, his eyes looking around for something, his tongue licking his teeth, when he couldn't find what he was looking for, "And where is Calypso?"

Those words sent deep chills down his spine, erecting all of his body hair, his chest for tight, for he did not have her. "She's not here."

Suddenly, almost violently, the captain bursted out in laughing, his old lungs suffocating, his rotten teeth showed as he laughed. "Ohhh me boy, yer quite funny are you?"

Yunho gulped, he felt extremely uneasy, "I'm being serious."

"And i was serious about sending Mingi to isla de los muertos, " he came closer to Yunho, his rotten breath filled Yunho's nose, "The only way to get him out is to get Calypso to exchange places with him."

The words ringed in the air, isla de los muertos, was a place of cursed gold and riches from the Taino, they cursed the gold so the colonizers that were the British could die of their own greed and lack of respect, its a grand place of Danger, full of evil spirits, broken souls and cruel sirens, way crueler then Dead Man Isle, its a place of black magic and tragedy.

Mingi was mostly likely dead, unless he a made with that witch, Somi.

"He's dead isn't he?" Yunho stuttered, himself going cold just to the mere thought of it, his starling, dead.

"No, he's in the locker"  A evil grin across Captain's Changbin's face, as he slowly backed away sipping his rum, drunk. "Yer are only ever allow down here, if i see a Calpyso, i want that goddess dead for what she did to me and my crew!"

Eyes, Yunho felt eyes on him, he was being watched, piercing into him, quietly, something was in the shadows, his heart quickened.

"Who's here?"

A figure appeared, a face, Yunho never forgot, the face of Han, his eyes drenched with worry, he was the quickest pirate Yunho knew and a good killer, fearless and ruthless, just like his father, he was the Captains nephew, they grew up together, the last time they saw each other is when the British found Yunho, "Y-yunho?"

The captain just nodded no, putting his hand on Han's shoulder, "You still love this traitor?"

They never knew the full story of what happened to them, when they did encounter Calypso, a beautiful lady, swam in the seas, her eyes blue, she was not mortal, but something changed that fate, a british imperial ship found them, Yunho quickly blinked it out his memory.

"H-han?"

Before he knew Han paced over to him, wrapping him up in a tight hug, squeezing, holding onto the last happy emotion in Yunho's body, Captain Changbin was disgusted with the act of love that was displayed, a sign of weakness in his mind, he took another sip.

Han broke away, "He's safe, but you need Calypso if you wanna get him back." Han whispered, Yunho gulped, he had been looking for her now 12 years, he would probably need to spend the rest of his life searching for the flowy sea goddess of the seven seas.

But he did know that one person that could know where the blue royal highness could be.

Seonghwa.

It was night-fall when Yunho came back from underground, he breathed in the fresh air, he forgot how dirty it truly was down there, he hoped that Hongjoong and Seonghwa didn't do anything to crazy, and it secretly hoped that leaving them two alone all day would help them, as a blind person could see the love that circled around those two.

He returned to the Inn, quiet, not a sound of movement, small snores feeled the atompshere, where he got startled, by a wide awake Seonghwa on the chair, and a very passed out Hongjoong on the bed, and Yunho could see purple marks on each other necks, so his plan did work, the tension between them seemed gone anyway.

"Where were you?" Seonghwa called out, his eyes digging deep into him.

"I was with the Deathroses, business, per usual." Yunho muttered, the smell of his father still imprinted on his clothes.

"Why do you look so distressed?"

Seonghwa could tell the moment he walked into their room, dirt and grind on his face, and strong waves of anxiety flowed through his body, his mind clearly thinking deeply on something.

Yunho gulped, was it to early to ask Seonghwa for help again? he seemed to know the seas better then Yunho did, and he was still a rather mysterious character, but Hongjoong seemed to find his purpose into this blue-eyed thief that once Hongjoong hated, though, Yunho believes Hongjoong loved him from the very start, just in very deep denial.

"I might need your help" He said deciding in that rare moment to be honest.

Seonghwa's eyes had a now a coldish tone to him, his jaw flexed, Yunho couldn't tell what he was thinking about.

"With?"

Hongjoong made a whiny noise, on the bed, it was actually the first time that Hongjoong was sleeping alone. "Hwa-?" he muttered.

They wait a second before his snores carried on, "You seem to know more about the seas then i do, how about if you know where Calypso is."

Seonghwa's eyes were on Hongjoong, observing him, when they were in deep thought, why would he want to know? little did he know she was sitting right in front of him.

"Now why would you wanna learn that? everyone knows Calypso belongs to the sea."

Yunho picked up on a certain tone in Seonghwa's voice, he didn't deny he knew where she was,  Yunho gulped, he never admitted his homosexual tendecies before, but neither did Hongjoong or Seonghwa, but Yunho had a feeling that Seonghwa would only help him if he know the full truth.

"Because my lover is trapped in isla de los muertos, the isle that is labeled  on no map, where only the sea goddess knows its true location, and you happen to know where Dead Man Isle is, so im sure you know more secrets of the sea then i ever will to make myself content with."

Seonghwa's body had chills, he hadn't been to that godforsaken place since the last Seonghwa got cursed by mortal men, forced to have one of their children, he dreaded that place more then his own existence, a place of utter despair and pain, why mortal men still go after the curse gold, despite all the tales, Seonghwa would never understand.

"How the hell did he end up there?" Seonghwa questioned.

"My father put him there-"

"And who's your father?"

"Captain Changbin."

(BACK STORY TIME WOOO)

Captain Changbin, those words rattled in Seonghwa's mind, unwanted memories flashed into his mind, that dull pain filled his body, the screams the cries, Seonghwa had no idea that monster was even still alive, he must be a old man now, still a threat to Seonghwa.

You see Changbin was a very bewicked man, he was the only one to ever come close to taming Calypso, the thought scared Seonghwa, the idea of freedom being taken away, simply like that, meaning nothing, because of him, this curse now lays awake on Seonghwa's body, simply because Calypso didn't love him.

Seonghwa remembers the day she intercounted him for the first time, a young brave pirate, Calypso was till quite a a very young god, having the seas just be hers, Changnin was a man with charm and ideas, a bright smile and soft hair, the two grew close, fond of one another, She would visit him every night, where they met in secret.

But Seonghwa knew the mortal could catch feelings soon, and he didn't know how to deal with that, human love being a difficult concept, on a calm night, where the ocean was calm for a bit, Seonghwa decided in the rash moment was not to see him anymore, as it wouldn't be a good idea. and he was right, in fact he should've swam sooner, because Captain Changbin became utterly obsessed with Seonghwa destroying the seas for her, and Calypso wouldn't allow that to happen, not in her seas.
