Beomgyu was in his dorm with his best friend, Soobin, both of them sitting on the couch.
"I don't know what's wrong with me" Beomgyu said, running a hand through his hair. "I just can't seem to get this one guy out of my head, and it's driving me insane"
"Ah, the struggle of unrequited love, my friend. Been there, done that"Soobin chuckled, a knowing look in his eyes.
Beomgyu groaned and let his head fall back against the couch. "It's more complicated than that. He's not just some random guy, he's..." He trailed off, feeling his cheeks heat up slightly.
"He's what? Come on, spill it. I've known you long enough to know when you're holding something back" Soobin prodded, a smirk on his lips.
"He's... someone I have a complicated history with. We've always been at each other's throats, you know that. But for some reason, lately, it's been... different. I can't stop thinking about him, and it's pissing me off because I know I shouldn't be feeling this way about him"Beomgyu let out a resigned sigh.
"Wait, you're talking about that one Taehyun's friend...Choi Yeonjun, right? The one you always complain about?"Soobin's eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Yeah. I don't get it. We're constantly butting heads and arguing with each other, but every time I see him, my heart starts racing"
Soobin couldn't help but laugh at the irony of the situation. "Oh man, this is rich. You, the one who constantly claims to hate him more than anyone else, are secretly pining after him"
Beomgyu shot Soobin a glare, half-amused and half-annoyed.
"Don't say it like that, it makes me sound pathetic. And I do hate him, okay? Most of the time"
"Hey, no judgment here. Love, or well, hate, works in mysterious ways. I'm just surprised, considering how much you guys seem to despise each other"Soobin said, raised his hands in a gesture of surrender.
"I know, it's messed up. But every time we're around each other, there's this weird energy between us and it's so frustrating. Like yesterday, he-" He cut himself off, suddenly realizing he was about to reveal something he'd rather keep to himself.
Soobin leaned forward, suddenly intrigued. "He what? Come on, don't leave me hanging. Spill the tea, bestie"
Beomgyu shifted uncomfortably on the couch, torn between wanting to get it off his chest and wanting to keep it hidden forever.
"We, uh...we kind of had this...moment in the bathroom. Nothing happened, but we were standing really close and he was, like, right up in my space and it just... made me feel things I shouldn't feel about him"
Soobin's eyes widened in surprise. "Damn, okay, I didn't expect that. So you're telling me that you and Yeonjun had some sort of intimate moment in the bathroom?"
Beomgyu's cheeks burned even hotter. "I wouldn't call it intimate per se. More like a... a confusing moment. His body was pressed against mine and he was looking at me and I could feel his heartbeat and- oh god, I sound insane saying it out loud!!"
"You two have got some serious tension going on. And I thought you were both the most oblivious people on the planet, not realizing that you've been lowkey pining for each other all along"Soobin said and laughed while Beomgyu just rolled his eyes at his worlds.
"Enough about me, what about you? Have you finally made a move on Taehyun yet?"Beomgyu, grateful for the change of subject, quickly turned the conversation to Soobin's love life.
Soobin's expression immediately darkened at the mention of Taehyun. "Ugh, don't even get me started. The guy is so damn clueless, it's infuriating. I've been dropping hints left and right, but he just doesn't seem to pick up on any of them"
