Beomgyu flopped onto his bed, frustration and anger coursing through his veins. His parents were coming to visit, but not out of love and concern like other parents would.
They were coming to discuss an arranged marriage, treating him like a piece of property to be sold off to the highest bidder.
His parents had never truly cared for him, seeing him as a symbol of their social status rather than a child with feelings and dreams of his own.
It was exhausting, constantly feeling like he was being groomed for a life he never wanted.
Tomorrow, he would be meeting his future husband and parents in-laws. Dread pooled in his stomach as he remembered his parents mentioning that the chosen family was the Chois. And the Chois were the family Yeonjun belonged to.
In that moment, a whirlwind of emotions hit him all at once. Confusion, disbelief, anger, and... something else he couldn't quite name. He couldn't believe the cruel game fate seemed to be playing on him.
Not only would he be forced into an arranged marriage against his will, but his husband-to-be was none other than the frustrating, captivating, and arrogant Yeonjun?
He buried his face in his pillow, feeling like he was stuck in a nightmare. The thought of spending the rest of his life with Yeonjun was as maddening as it was intriguing.
The boy who had teased, annoyed, and provoked so many different feelings in him was now going to be his legal spouse. It was as if the universe was mocking him.
Amidst all the whirlwind of emotions, a small flicker of happiness and nervousness began to take root in Beomgyu's heart. He couldn't deny that there had always been a strange connection, a strange pull between him and Yeonjun. Even when they were at each other's throats, there was an undeniable spark that neither of them could ignore.
Could it possibly be... love?

The morning arrived with a mix of dread and anticipation as Beomgyu prepared to meet his future in-laws and his soon-to-be husband.
His heart raced, his palms were slightly damp, and his mind swirled with a thousand different thoughts and emotions.
He put on a presentable outfit, attempting to hide his anxiousness behind a facade of nonchalance. As he stared into the mirror, he took a deep breath and psyched himself up for the day ahead.
When his parents arrived to pick him up, he steeled himself for the inevitable conversation that would follow on the way to the Choi residence.
They chatted about mundane things, but the tension in the air was palpable. Beomgyu knew the real discussion would come when they reached their destination.
The drive to Yeonjun's house was spent in a heavy silence, his parents sat in the front, engaged in a hushed whisper of a conversation he tried his best not to overhear.
As they pulled up to the grand driveway of the Choi estate, Beomgyu's heart began to pound even harder.
The house was grandiose, befitting of the wealthy and influential family that lived there. He swallowed, taking one final deep breath before stepping out of the car.
His parents led the way, with Beomgyu following closely behind. Every step towards the front door echoed loudly in his ears, and he could hardly contain the nervousness bubbling inside him.
They were ushered inside by a butler, and he caught a glimpse of the elegant interiors of the house before being led to a large sitting room.
In the sitting room, an older gentleman sat in an armchair, exuding an air of wisdom and authority. He stood as they entered, and Beomgyu guessed this must be Yeonjun's father.
