I wake up in Boris's arms. I quickly look at him. "What time is it?" I ask, yawning. He looks down at me with a sweet smile. "It's 8:30, new girl," he says, brushing the hair out of my face. I spring up, "What time does the party start?!" I say, shocked by the time. "It starts at eight, but we leave now?" he asks me. "Okay, sure, let me get my shoes on." I throw my shoes on and watch him fix his hair in the mirror. When he's done, he comes up to me and grabs my hand. "ready?", he asks looking me up and down. "One sec," I reply, disconnecting from his hand and grabbing the hairbrush on my bedside table. I walk into my bathroom, Boris trailing behind me, and brush out my hair as he holds onto my hips, kissing my neck. I push him off playfully and put my brush down, grabbing my concealer and covering the dark hickey on my neck. I look at the now almost unnoticeable bruise and am happy with my work. When I'm finished, I turn around to him and kiss him quickly. "Now I'm ready," I say as I disconnect from his lips and smile. We walk out of my room hand in hand, and I stop when we walk past the laundry room. "Oh!" I say, remembering his sweater is still in the dryer. "Hold on," I tell him, turning back to the laundry room and removing his sweater from the dryer. I walk back into the hallway and hold it up to him. "Ta da!" I say, modeling the clean sweater, now free of the blood stains. He smiles at me and takes it from my hands, throwing off his t-shirt and putting it on. He turns back and throws the t-shirt into my room. "I leave here for when I sleep tonight," he says as he walks back towards me. He takes my hand back in his own and uses his free hand to pull out his phone as we walk down the stairs. I look over and see him typing out a text to Theo. "I tell him we leave now," he says to me when he sees me reading over his shoulder. We get down stairs, and I write out a small note for my mom.

I place the note on the fridge next to my last one, and we head for the front door. We go outside and walk over to Boris's car. He opens the back door for me, and I get in and say a small, "Thank you." "Of course, m'lady," he says with a goofy smile. I giggle as he closes the door and gets in the driver's seat. We drive up the curve in our street all the way down to a house that's identical to both of ours before stopping. As we stop, Theo bolts out the door as if he were waiting for us like an excited puppy. He opens the driver's side door and crawls across Boris lap into the passenger seat. He looks at us excitedly. "LETS GO FUCKIN PARTY!!!!" he says, pumping his fists up and down above his head. Boris and I let out a small giggle before he pulls away from Theo's house, making a small u-turn, and driving towards the end of our neighborhood. Theo turns around to me, "Lucy, you're going to absolutely love this. Private school kids throw the BEST parties. They have the best music, the best drinks, the best-looking dudes, and—" Boris cuts him off, "she's not looking for a boy potter; she only goes to have a good time," he says with a serious tone. looks over at Boris and shrugs. "Well, if she sees someone she likes," Boris cuts him off again. "She won't," he says nonchalantly. "Okay, okay, fine, but still, it's going to be the best," Theo says, turning back to me. Okay, so possessive. Boris is fucking hot. "I know, I was so excited I got dressed at like one o'clock this afternoon," I say with a huge smile. Theo smiles at me and does a small, excited dance in his seat before turning back around to fidget with the radio. I lean back in my seat and see Boris give me a quick wink in the rearview mirror before directing his attention back to the road. I sit in the back seat scrolling on my phone and passing around my cart with the boys for about twenty minutes before we finally pull into a fancy-looking neighborhood. We drive for about another ten minutes before we approach a street with cars lined all the way down it. Boris finds a space to park his car behind another car on the street, and Boris turns to the side, looking between Theo and I. "potter, is her first party with these kids. We look after her, yes? You know how these kids act, so we need to make sure we don't let them do anything to her. Understand,"", he says in the most serious voice I've ever heard him use. Theo nods and looks back at me. "Don't worry, we gotcha Lucy," he says to me with a smile. I smile back to him in response. Why is he being so stern about this? I can protect myself. He can believe or not I've survived seventeen years on this planet without him looking out for me. I know he does it because he cares, but honestly, him saying all these things about how I need to be "looked after" is starting to get on my nerves. I open my car door and let the cool breeze hit my face before hopping out and instantly forgetting my annoyance and getting excited again. Boris and Theo follow, jumping out of the drivers seat one by one. Boris pulls out his phone and looks at a picture reading the text aloud, "Address: 1518." We look at the mailbox of the house we're parked in front of and see the numbers "1510" printed along side it. "Lead way.", Potter,Boris says, putting his arm in front of him. Theo does exactly that and walks along the side walk towards the house with the address Boris read out. Boris brings his hand down and wraps it around my waist as we follow behind Theo. We arrive at the house; well, honestly, it looks more like a fucking mansion, and we hear the muffled music coming out of the closed front door. Theo opens the door and walks in as Boris keeps his arm around me. Immediately the smell of booze and weed hit my nose, and the blaring music filled my ears. It's been so long since I've been to a party that I almost forgot how much I loved them. Boris and I follow them, shutting the door behind us. Theo immediately sees a girl he knows and turns around to us. "It's Jamie!" he yells for us to hear him over the blaring music. Theo turns back around as the girl waves at him and walks to her, immediately wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Who's that?" I yell over the music to Boris. He bends down to my ear and talks loudly enough for me to hear him, "Kind of like, eh, how you say... like fuck buddy." I nod as he stands back up straight. "Can we get some drinks?" I ask him. I know my voice is going to be gone by the end of the night from all this yelling. Boris nods and leads me over to a table completely stocked with every booze imaginable. I decide on just having vodka mixed with some random juice I found on the table. I pour myself a cup of equal parts vodka and equal parts juice and look up at him with a smile. He smiles back down at me, pulling me closer to him with the hand he has on my waist. He pours himself a single shot, downing it as fast as he poured it. "Let's go dance!" I say to him, walking towards the music with him still attached to my hip. We get to what I assume is the living room and join the crowd of people dancing as I chug my drink. almost instantly I feel the alcohol taking effect on me. I haven't eaten today because of how long I slept, and that makes the buzz hit me 10x stronger. I chug the rest of my drink and dance drunkenly, jumping up and down, practically grinding on boris. we dance together, his hands on my hips as i stumble to the music, both of us laughing for no apparent reason, for about twenty minutes before boris leans down to me, "im going to bathroom, okay? Don't take any drinks from anyone, new girl; I'll be right backk," he says, looking at me in the eyes. I nod and shout back at him over the music, "Go, I'll be fine, I swear!" I say, slurring with a smile. He gives me a small kiss before vanishing into the crowd to the bathroom. I decide to go back and get another drink, wanting to get as fucked up as I possibly can tonight. I go up to the drink table and see a muscular boy closing the cap on the vodka. Wait for him to put it down and take it when he sets it on the table. I fill my cup with the same mixture of vodka and juice. The boy watches me while taking a sip of my drink before coming up to me. "Hey, 'm Ethan," he says, extending a hand to me. I take his hand, shaking it, and slurr out a drunken, "I'm Lucy." He smiles at me and tilts his head to the side as he leans in closer so I can hear him more clearly. "How come I've never seen you before?" he asks curiously. "I just moved here; I'm still meeting everyone!" I shout back at him with a smile. I take another large gulp of my drink and feel myself becoming even more intoxicated. "Well, I guess I kind of lied," he says to me with a smile. "What do you mean?" I ask him, confused with a drunken laugh. "I mean, I saw you once, i guess," he says, running his fingers through his short hair. "Out there dancing, i mean," he says, nodding to the living room. "oh yeah! Sorry, I'm very drunk right now; definitely not my best dance movess," I say to him with a nervous laugh. "Well, I should get back out there; my friend is probably looking for me!" I say turning away. I'm stopped and turned back around by his strong hands on my hips pulling me towards him. "Screw your friend! dance with me!" he says as he tries to move my hips up and down. I look at him shocked and immediately try to break away from his grip, which only grows stronger. "Let go of me!" I say angrily as he forcibly pulls me closer to him. He doesn't respond as he looks me up and down, still holding onto me. "I said let me fucking go!" I yelled, stomping on his foot. He doesn't even flinch. I immediately feel sobered up and eerily aware of all the people looking over at my situation yet doing nothing to help me. I try to yell and hit his chest to push him away from me, but nothing I do seems to work. My blood runs cold as I feel his right hand move from my wait and go up my skirt, gripping my ass so hard that I know for certain I'll have a bruise tomorrow. My arms continue to hit his chest, and I frantically yell out for someone to help me. I feel his hand move from my ass and begin sliding up my thigh. I feel dizzy and out of breath as I plead with the people near me to do something. His lips connect with my neck, and I squeeze my eyes shut as I yell. just as I feel I'm going to pass out his entire grip on me. I realize my eyes are still shut at opening them to see him on the ground, with Boris repeatedly yelling and bashing his fist into his already bloody face. The dizziness I'm feeling only grows stronger. The people around us gasp as they form a small crowd around the two boys. "Boris!" I yell as I see the boy throw a weak punch from the floor, hitting Boris in the eye. Boris Barley flinchs as his fist continues to disconnect and reconnect with the boy's face. I have no idea how Boris has him pinned like this. This boy is two times Boris's weight, it looks like, and certainly on some type of sports team from the look of his muscles. My head grows foggy as if I can barely think. "Go outside, Lucy!" I hear Boris call to me, not stopping the brutal beating of the boy to look at me. I listen to him, stumbling to the front door and letting myself out side. I take three steps on the grass before it all goes black.
