leaving the store, my hand in boris's, we all get back in boris's car. the first thing boris always does when he gets in is absolutely blasts the AC. even though it's almost october, the heat in los Vegas is still blazing hot. i sit back in my seat, sweating from the thick sweater and sweatpants i have on. "are we going home how?", i ask to both of the boys. "yep imma make pasta. you haven't lived till you tasted my pasta lucy lu.", theo says proudly. i laugh, he's got store bought noodles. when my dad would cook pasta for us he would always make it from scratch, teaching me how to make it when i was only 11 years old. boris chimes in, "we stop at one more place.", he says as he pulls out of the parking lot, his eyes on the road. "where?", theo and i say at the same time. "how do you say...ah, hardware store, yes?", he asks. i look at theo, he shrugs at me. "why do you need to go to the hardware store.", i ask him curiously. he shrugs, "need rope.", he says nonchalantly. theo chimes in, "why would you need rope boris?", he asks laughing. "like to tie knots.", he says to theo. theo laughs before looking at me and shrugging. i've learned not to question boris about his strange hobby's ever since i saw him dragging an old drum set in his garage, and keep me up all night while he played it loudly. (no he was not good whatsoever and i haven't heard any drum like noises coming from his house since.). boris drives as theo and i snack on the raw pasta, "you know, i could make real pasta when we get home. i think i have some eggs in the fridge and i know i have flour.", i say as i throw a small peice of a noodle into theo's mouth and watch him catch it. "you know how to do that?", he asks crunched down on the noodle. "mhm, i learned a while ago. i'm actually a good cook. believe it or not, i make food other than boxed mac and cheese.", i tell him proudly with a chuckle. we pull into a small shopping center, parking in front of a hardware store. "i'll come back, give me one minute.", boris says as he hops out of the car and jogs towards the store. theo looks back at me smiling, "okay so tell me...have you two actually fucked?", he asks out of nowhere. i nearly choke on my own spit. that was incredibly forward coming from theo. i look back at him, "ok ok you caught me, we haven't yet.", i say holding my hands up playfully in defense. "fuckin knew it!", he exclaims, obviously proud of himself for catching my lie. "i mean i definitely believed you at first, but when you saw the outline of his dick in the store, your mouth dropped down to your damn feet.", he says laughing. "nooooo, was it that noticeable?", i ask chuckling and putting my face in my right hand. "are you kidding? could you not see him smirking after he saw your face?", he asks with a laugh. "ok real talk theo, should i put out? or should i make him wait longer?", i ask him half joking half seriously. he leans back in his seat, his head still turned towards me, "can't answer that for ya lucy lu. if you're asking me if you think he'll leave after you two fuck, i'd say no way. he seems like he really likes you. i mean i should've known sooner you two were a thing from the way he talks about you.", he says to me, snapping his head back forward when he sees boris running towards the car. i wanna ask theo what boris says about me, but i realize i cant right now with boris approaching us so quickly. i think about what he said, that he doesn't think boris will ditch me after we sleep together. the more i think about it the more i agree with him. boris may seem like that kinda guy at first, but i really couldn't imagine him just abandoning me. maybe i'm being vain, but i think i agree with theo; i think he really likes me. boris opens the drivers door, plops himself in and immediately speeds out of the parking lot. "they saw me take!", boris says laughing as he speeds onto the road. immediately theo and i chime in with the laughter. "go go go!", theo yells as boris continues driving. "oh cmon it's just a rope, i doubt they would've carried that much.", i say in between laughs. "no no lucy you don't understand, he picks up all kinda shit from that store, they chased us out last time.", theo said turning around to look at me. i laugh even harder imagining boris and theo running away as employees chased them. "i don't only take rope.", boris says pulling out 6 packs of spearmint gum. "boris why do you need that much gum!", theo says taking them out of his hands and inspecting them. "i like way it tastes.", boris says chuckling with a shrug. after about two more minutes of driving like a maniac, boris decides it's probably okay to slow down. we get to theo's house not long after. "i thought we were going to lucy's?", theo says looking out the front window of the car. "nie, we need to check on popchyk potter.", boris says opening his door and stepping out of the car. "larry and xandra are gone, yes?", he asks as theo crawls across to the drivers side and steps out of the car carrying the groceries.
"yea pretty sure.", theo replies as he begins walking up the lawn. boris helps me out of the car, "we sleep here tonight?", he asks taking my hand and following theo to the front door. "i can't, moms coming home tonight.", i say as we walk through the front door. even theo's house has the same lay out as mine and boris's. theo's house has far more furniture though, a bookshelf in the living room, a recliner chair, and a decent sized couch. "so i come over when she sleeps?", boris asks me with a smile as he plops down on the couch, pulling me down on his lap as he does so. i giggle and scoot around to place myself sideways on his lap, my feet hanging over his.
