Wincing, her eyes took moments to adjust to the sudden burst of light that entered her vision. A couple of days in the dark surely gave this effect.

She hadn't planned on opening then anytime soon, but it was becoming quite the challenge for her to decipher in the dark no matter how she tried.

Finally, she opted to use the lights.

Sitting on the bed, she stared at the piece of crumpled paper that sat in her palm. She knew what it was. Well, not the contents of it specifically, but she had a broad idea of what it could contain.

Flitting her eyes around the room, it was covered with other similar pieces of paper. Some crumpled in a ball like the one she picked up, others folded neatly, and the rest were just open and seemingly have been flying around.

Then, her eyes found their way to look at the trash bin that wasn't too far away from her.

She lightly touched the edges of the paper, thinking that it was so easy. Just throw the paper in the bin, turn off the lights, and go back to sleeping! Out of sight, out of mind!

It was definitely easy.

Yet also the hardest thing to do.
