It was Friday. They always went out at Fridays. There were basically no teachers so all they did was walk around the campus all day, treating each other to various kinds of food, whatever they were in the mood for.

But this Friday, they didn't.

Seeing that she still wasn't being talked to or even looked at, she conditioned herself days before that she won't go act like some desperate person in need of attention 24/7 because what even were they? They had no label, they were friends is all.

But deep inside, it'd be a lie to wish that finally, when Friday came, they'd be normal once again.

Plot twist, they weren't.

That day, she came home numb. She didn't know what to feel, what to think, nor how to act. It wasn't long into the afternoon when she got herself a message.

Her eyes lit up seeing the name of who messaged. She thought they they'd finally get past this strange cold war that they've been having and go back to the way it was before!

Then, as she read the message, the light in her eyes began to slowly din, and dim, and dim.
