Chenford romance

Part 14: Court hearing.

After the lazy night Tim wakes up still somehow lying on Lucy's chest, his heart warms at the sight. Her in his favorite over sized t-shirt he wouldn't let anyone wear, but seeing her in it, it was officially hers. After taking in the sight for a little longer Tim got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. 

Lucy woke up to an empty bed and humming in the shower, she wanted to join him and have a quick fun activity but the weight of Oliver and Olivia was weighing her down. She wanted Olivia back, but she wants Tim to help her out but she's not sure how he would handle it. She knows Tim wants kids.

But does that mean that he wants her kid from another man? Olivia is only young, and Tim and Lucy have high chances of custody even if it is shared with Oliver and his misters, before she knew it the shower had stopped and Tim was standing in front of her trying to find her attention,

Tim: "Thought I lost you there, you okay?"
Lucy: "Yeah, I'm fine. Just didn't see you standing there"
Tim: "What's on your mind?"
Lucy: "It's silly, don't worry" 
Tim: "Tell me, please"
Lucy: "How is this going to work?"
Tim: "What do you mean?"
Lucy: "I mean if I get custody of Olivia, what does that mean for us?"

Tim looks her dead in the eyes, seeing the worry in her face he can't help but feel bad that she doesn't understand,

Tim: "Lucy, what ever happens I will always be by your side. What ever it is we will figure it out. When you get custody we will take great care of Olivia, and I know that when it's time Olivia will be the best big sister."
Lucy: "You're right. I don't know why I ever doubted us. And you'll never know how grateful I am to have you"

Lucy stands up and presses a soft kiss to his lips, he wraps his arms around her waist and holds her in place just a little longer before going to their wardrobe to get ready. 

Lucy's pov:

It's Friday morning and my court hearing is today, I'm excited to see Olivia not so much about Oliver there's a good chance that they'll bring up Jacob. I can't deal with that, besides I already have a court hearing with him next week, I didn't want to go through all of that again how ever Nyla thought it should be done.

She said that it will be "easier to convict him due to the cameras he used and to put the other girls out of harms way and limit the amount of boy out there like him." I couldn't really say no, the thought of anyone else having to go through that made my blood boil. 

As Tim and I get ready my hands are shaking, I'm nervous and scared and excited all at once. I really don't know what to feel or say, I make my way to the station before the hearing to brief with Grey and to get changed into my everyday Uniform.  Tim and I start our drive to the court house, my legs shaking as I sit in the passenger seat Tim reaches out his hand and places it on my thigh and looks me in my eyes.

Tim: "You okay?"
Lucy: "Yeah" I lie as my voice shakes
Tim: "I'm here and so is everyone else"
Lucy: "Thanks" I say through a smile, my leg still shaking

He rubs his hands up and down my leg sending a comfortable feeling causing my leg to stop. As we pull out side of the court house I take one big breath in before climbing out of Tim's truck. As we sign in and find out court room Tim pulls me in for a hug, the type of hug that makes time stop, making nothing else in the world matter just us. 

After a while I pull back giving his cheek and peck, we walk hand in hand into the court room and sit waiting to begin. I look to my left and see Oliver and Charlotte seated with Olivia. Her big honey eyes popping as her brown wavey locks are pulled up in the cutest ponytail at the top of her head. My heart flutters, after not seeing her for so long to seeing what a beautiful toddler she is. My heart swells maybe if I had stayed I wouldn't have had to go so long without seeing her and imaging her.
