Aegon's Pov,

Overlooking the bay as the men with their basilisks are getting off of the ships I rest my hands on the pommel of Blackfyre. "Seems like you did well for yourself these last years." The voice of Rhaenyra says making me hum in response.

"I lived a simple life, a farmers life." I counter and soon she releases some laughter, turning towards her she soon follows up. "I can't imagine you and mother as farmers. Must have been a real mess."

"It was in the beginning, took a lot of hard work to get the place to what it was at the end. For a long time I thought I would die there, never to return to Westeros." I say as I look at her and she takes my hand in hers.

"He always blamed himself, god's I blamed him for a long time. But the whole in his heart after you and mother were said to be dead, nothing could ever fill that. It's good to have you both back.......... you seem how he's been these years, maybe now when the Stranger comes for him he can go in peace."

"Maybe he can yes, nothing can change the past or what's been done but somehow our roads may have been always supposed to go like this." I say as Caraxes flies over with Sarax and those two seem to have gotten quite comfortable with one another already.

"Do I even wish to know how you got people on basilisks." She asks me and I release a chuckle. "It involves my daughter running away to a temple and a flute." I simply say as I grab the railing in my hands and look down at the beach again.

"Do you love her?"

"Dany? Of course, I love he-" I start but she's quick to cut me off. "Rhyla, she's the mother of your child.... and she's with child again. Why did you never wed her?" Rhaenyra asks and I release a small chuckle at her question.

"I love Rhyla yes but we met at a time where she wished to be free to sail wherever she wished, and I had to come to terms with what happened. We never wed because it did not defy the love we held for one another, my daughter is just as much as a true born Targaryen as your sons." I counter and she let's some surprise move over her feathers.

"I'm not stupid, nor am I blind Rhaenyra. Now our father brought us into his own mess, you wed me for me supporting your claim and I wed you for the same reason.........you'll wish your son to succeed, and I will wish for Dany to succeed." I plainly say to her as that has been going through my mind ever since we left for Dragon Stone.

"Jace is supposed to wed Baela and is my eldest."

"The daughter of Lena and her cousin who passed away in the Step Stones, my daughter is well..... my daughter." I'm quick to counter, I've heard about Lena passing and her husband not that long ago in the Step Stones. You learn a lot on your way to Westeros, or even being there for a short amount of time already.

"If you would not have promised Jace to Baela we would not be speaking of this mat-"

"And if you in the last 20 years had shown any sign of being alive we also would not have been in this situation, do.... do you even know what it's been like with the both of you gone?" She's quick to cut me off with some tears wishing to form in her eyes.

"You were gone living your life in Essos, do you think it was easy here? That I did not need you both here? And now you come back and wish to take away my son's birthright."
