After the moment had passed with Isaac, we sat just talking about life and how he became the man he is now. At one point, he reclined his seat back and stared at his sunroof. I smiled at this and joined in. He talked about the stars, and he looked over at me. "Wanna hear a story?" he says. I can only see his strong features in this dim light. I nod, and he turns to look at the moon once again, and I keep my eyes on him.

"My ma used to always tell me this on full moon nights, just like this. She said it was an old poem her mother recited to her when she was little, and she wants to pass it on from generation to generation:

He pauses at this and sits in silence before continuing,

"It went something like this,

'Slipping softly through the sky,

Little-horned, happy moon

Can you hear me up so high?

Will you come down soon?

On my nursery window sill

Will you stay your steady flight?

And then float away with me

Through the summer night?

Brushing over top the trees

Playing hide and seek with the stars,

Peeping up through shiny clouds

At Jupiter or Mars

I shall fill my lap with roses

Gathered in the Milky Way,

All to carry home to mother

Oh, and what will she say

Little rocking, sailing moon,

Do you hear me shout - ahoy

Just a little nearer, moon,

To please a little boy.'

I don't know what it meant, but it always stuck, like every time I stare at the moon, I think of it. You know I've only ever told you this story, so feel honored you're the first to hear this; that's beside my family."

He goes from looking at the moon to over to me, and he flashes that cheesy smile of his that I adore. "You know what would make this better?" He says, "mhhh, I don't know what." I say returning the smile.

"A fat joint," "Isaac!" I say, giggling and slapping his arm, he throws his hands up in defense. "Orrr if not that sex," I laugh at this, hard. I mean, basically crying at this point.  Then Nick comes out the front door. I don't know how long we've been sitting here, but I guess it's been a while.

He comes over to Isaac's window and taps on it. He rolls down the window,

"Guys, we've been wondering where you were the past hour, what the fuck, have you been sitting here the whole time or ..."  he says, eyeing both of us. "

"Nick, no dude, we've just been talking, it's been an hour?" Isaac says, looking over at me, flashing an apologetic smile.

"Uhm, yeah, now come inside, please," he says before walking away. Isaac looks at me with a defeated look, and I smile at this. His puppy-coded face, stuck in a small frown, was so adorable. I sit my seat back up, and so does Isaac. Before leaving the car, he gives me a quick kiss on the lips. I smile at his silly nature, and we go inside the house. "Soooooo sleeping with me again?" He says, taking a look at me while walking to his room, "If you want me to?" I say, he stops in his tracks before turning around. "OF course, are you crazy?" He says before grabbing my shoulders. I laugh at this, and I follow him to his room.
