You halted to a stop seeing Iida on the ground and Midoriya paralyzed and slumped against a wall. Your heart was beating out of your chest and your breathing was heavy.
There he was, The Hero Killer.
He was stood over Iida with his sharp bloody katana raised. His two hands placed on the hilt.
"Get away!" Midoriya screams.
You shield Iida as the sword comes downwards.
"Someone else to get in my way." Stain says annoyed.
Then a wave of hot red fire shoots out from someone behind you.
"Today's been full of distractions." The Hero Killer complains.
"Y/n? Todoroki? What are you doing here?"
"You texted me." You say in a tone of obviousness.
Todoroki says still covered in flames. He held his phone up showing he got the same message you received. "Midoriya, you need to give more details in times like these."
He then raises the heroes who are unable to move with his ice. Once they're lifted off the ground they slide down an ice ramp so they're behind you and him. He quickly sends the villain a second fire attack.
"You can't let that guy get your blood, I-I think he controls his enemy's actions by swallowing it!" The green-haired boy shouts from behind you.
"That's how he got us-"
A small knife travels through the air and an alarmingly fast pace.
You quickly shove Todoroki out of the way taking his place.
The small knife slashes across your forehead.
"Y/n!"
Todoroki stands frozen next to you. You had just saved him. He could feel his heartbeat increase in speed. Not because his face was almost sliced open, but because you had protected him.
"You have good friends, Ingenium." Stain says before appearing in the air.
"Or you did!" A knife slashes down and you put up a force field.
You drop the barrier after his knife fractures the blade's outer edge.
You watch one of the villain's swords fly in the air and while your focus is elsewhere your collar is grabbed aggressively.
You look and see Stain's long, saliva-covered, tongue in your face. He pushes your hair away and licks from your temple upwards. Right before his tongue touches your cut a blast of fire pushes him away.
