"Sorry! I was too scared to move! Sorry! Sorry! That girl was trying so hard to talk and I thought I had to go! I thought I had to be like you! That's why I came! So you don't have to cry anymore! It's okay!" The dark-haired boy cried as he apologized.
"Kota?"
You stand up slowly softly pulling up Midoriya as well.
You look up at a woman nearby. Her skin was a blueish green and her ears poked out of her hair. She had thick long white eyelashes that surrendered her coloured eyes.
"You were a student at U.A.? A number of shelters turned me away, saying they couldn't let heteromorphs in. In the end,U.A. said it was okay. But I'm lucky because that meant I could see you again." She smiled happily.
She wrapped her large arms around Midoriya's figure. "Thanks for what you did back then, crybaby hero."
Kota joined in hugging his legs.
A man with three stars pointing from his bald head walked into the centre of the crowd.
"Before blaming him hysterically, can't we listen to what he has to say? It's not like kids planning to stay here permanently. Right now we're short on resources and personnel. So this is the only place he can rest without worrying too much, right? That's what your heroes were thrown to explain, right?"
"Yes." A nearby hero agreed.
"He can't go to Shiketsu? The facilities are the same level right?" A cowardly man suggests.
The beautiful dark-haired woman beside him looked over. "But then, the same thing would happen at Shiketsu."
The bald man from earlier took the reins again, speaking to the crowds of people. "You know, I didn't realize until things ended up like this. I felt like I was in the audience and the heroes were the performers on stage. One day, an extraordinary hero named All Might showed us what heroes were like."
He paused for air bending continuing, "Everyone wanted to be like him! Everyone applauded him! And then before we knew it we had forgotten the soul behind the man. But the stage has been taken away. With failure upon failure, there's no hope for money or fame anymore. Many of those who were called heroes have resigned."
