Chat slunk over the roof across from the MPD. The cold air nipped at him as he watched Ellis stroll around the lobby, alone in the early hours of the morning. Chat scoffed and pushed off the roof, flipping to land on the side of the station, blue eyes scanning the empty parking lot. They were alone, and his target was unsuspecting. Chat grinned as he quietly slunk up to the side door, his voice barely a whisper. "Cataclysm." The handle disintegrated under his touch, the door softly creaking open as he slipped in. Making his way around the rows of empty desk he froze as a low curse reached his ears, ducking behind a desk as Ellis strolled across the walkway. He looked frustrated, a steaming coffee sloshing in his hands as he walked briskly toward the conference room.

Chat waited before slipping after him, his white suit barely catching the light as he slunk along the walls. He stifled a gasp as he entered the office, rows of photos connected by red string were taped to the white board, Ellis pacing in front of it and cursing as he examined each photo. Chat drew himself up to full height, a teasing grin spreading on his face. He would enjoy this kill, desperate to please his master by getting rid of his biggest problem.

"All this for little ole me? I'm honored, truly."

Ellis spun around, his hand snapping to his side and frowning at the lack of holstered gun. Chat clicked his tongue and moved forward, his blue eyes blazing in the low lighting. Ellis took a defensive stance, eyes never leaving Chat as he backed up toward the table. Chat strolled closer, claws clinking against the white board as he drummed his fingers over the display.

"I have to hand it to you captain, you are one persistent ass cop."

Ellis chuckled at the compliment and raised his fists, teeth clenched in anticipation. "I take it I'm your next target? Someone wanting you to get rid of me?" Chat smiled and rolled his shoulders, hands stretching in anticipation. "You have become a thorn in my master's side. I've been sent to get rid of that thorn." Ellis smirked and took a defensive stance, his body tense and eyes hard.

"Well, I was hired to kick ass and drink water. Unfortunately for you, I'm all out of water."

Chat gave one last chuckle before tensing, both men staring at each other. Chat lunged forward, claws reaching out. Ellis gripped his wrist and spun him, sending him crashing into the table and a gasp leaving his lips.

"I'm not that easy cat."

Chat snarled and jumped over the debris, claws slashing as he threw blows, Ellis gritting his teeth as he tried to avoid the weapons. He kicked out and connected with Chat's stomach before he was grabbed, Chat leaning back and throwing him over his shoulder. Ellis landed harshly on his side with a groan, stars sparking in his vision. He pushed himself up shakily as Chat stalked toward him, black energy swirling in his palm.

"Let me show you what destruction can do, captain."

He lunged forward and swung his arm out at Ellis, Ellis barely avoiding the attack and standing in shock as the chair Chat grabbed crumbled to dust under his grasp.

"What the fuck?!"

Chat grinned and threw a kick his way, white boot colliding with the side of Ellis' head and sending him crumbling to the floor. "Ladybug couldn't prepare you for me. I am destruction personified!" He stood over Ellis, teeth bared and claws flexing. He called his cataclysm and planted a foot firmly on Ellis' chest, stopping him from rolling away.

"Nothing personal Cap."

Chat barely registered the pain that exploded in his shoulder, a gasp leaving him as he stumbled backward and clutched his shoulder. Crimson blood leaked between his fingers and his eyes snapped to the door, Sergeant Anderson scowling behind the sight of her pistol. She stepped into the room, keeping her aim trained on Chat.
