Alya chuckled as she watched Marinette try to hang the wreath on the door, the shorter girl struggling to reach the hook. December had approached, the girl's excited to celebrate Christmas. Becca fumbled through the door; a box full of Christmas lights clutched in her arms.
"Hey Alya, this was all I found."
Alya squealed in delight and darted inside, going to help the other girl with the Christmas tree they had set up. Marinette smiled softly at the excitement before huffing in annoyance, glaring at the hook on the door.
"I will get this up."
She jumped. She tip toed. Nothing would get the wreath on the hook. An amused chuckled sounded and she grit her teeth, knowing the blond was giving her a snarky grin. "Either help me or shut up." Adrien chuckled and came up behind her, his hand gliding over hers to grip the decoration.
"Let the tall people handle it."
Marinette glared but gave him a smile, taking in his bright eyes. Adrien had been quiet over the last few weeks. He rarely left his room and hardly ever showed up to the group hangouts. When he did, he always had an aura of sadness around him, and it broke her heart to not know what caused him pain. She shrieked as he wrapped his arms around her middle, hoisting her up and slapping the decoration back in her hands.
"I take it back; I much prefer this." Marinette blushed bright and stared down at him, eyes wide and mouth open.
"Adrien! Put me down!"
He laughed and held her tighter as she squirmed, careful not to drop her. "If you want down, you better hurry up and hang the wreath." Marinette giggled and nodded, carefully hanging the wreath on the door. Adrien lowered her down, his arms still around her. She looked up at him, his green eyes shining down at her. His eyes found her lips and he couldn't help himself as he leaned down, heart jumping as her eyes fluttered close, and he swore she leaned up.
"One of these days Mari, I'm going to get you a step stool."
They jumped apart, both spinning to look at the guitarist across from them. Marinette lit up as she saw him, blushing as the two boys stared at each other. Adrien rubbed his neck in embarrassment, internally scolding himself for getting carried away. Luka walked over and gripped Adrien's arm, giving him a sly smile and his voice low.
"But then again, you seemed to be the perfect ladder."
Adrien blushed and turned his head away, staring at Marinette as she stood with her mouth open and eyes wide. She knew that tone on Luka. She could hardly believe it as his eyes racked over Adrien, the blond returning the gaze. Marinette had to keep her heart in check as she watched her closest boys.
Luka was flirting.
With Adrien.
Marinette grabbed Luka's hand and led him inside, eyes shining in mischief. "Come on Luka, I want to show you the balcony decorations!" Her eyes promised a conversation and he took her hint, smiling and following her inside. Adrien stood awkwardly in the doorway before Becca ran up to him, the tree topper in her hands. She gave him a kind smile and held it out to him. "Speaking of needing a tall person." Adrien chuckled and took it, following the girl inside.
He could use some time with friends.
Marinette pulled Luka to the balcony and slid the door shut behind them, her eyes funding his. He looked at her with an innocent smile, fumbling with his Jagged Stone Christmas sweater. Marinette raised a brow and motioned toward the group working on the tree, her finger trained on Adrien.
"So. Something you want to tell me?"
Luka smiled and pulled her to him, nuzzling her neck as she returned his embrace. "Don't worry Melody, I'm not going to leave you for Adrien. But..." She looked at him, her eyes curious.
"But?"
Luka sighed and pulled away from her, leaning back against the railing and looking up at the setting sun. "I've been thinking about it for years honestly. I'm not gay, but I'm not straight either. You remember that dude I dated back in France?" Marinette smirked, remembering the way Luka had fallen head over tail for a member of the school band.
"Well, that kind of told me a lot about myself."
Marinette smiled in encouragement as he faltered. They were always able to tell each other everything, no secret kept from the other. She reached up and ran a hand through his hair, smiling as he closed his eyes and leaned into her touch. His eyes met hers and they both looked over to Adrien, the blond being pulled around by the two brunettes.
"You have feelings for him Melody. Just as you do Blanc."
Marinette began to protest, her eyes wide as her mind raced to the worst. Luka held up his hand and chuckled, stopping her. "Let me finish." She nodded and closed her mouth, finding her own spot against the railing. "I would be lying if I said I didn't find him hot. He's a damn model for Gimmi's sake." Marinette nodded her agreement, blushing as they both kept their eyes on Adrien.
"I believe that you can be with more than one person, so long as you all love each other."
Marinette's eyes snapped to him, her eyes wide and a blush forming. "Are you trying to ask...?" Luka nodded and pulled her back into his arms, burying his face into her hair and his hands rubbing her back.
"I want you happy Melody, and Adrien makes you happy. If it is something you want, you would have my full support."
Marinette gripped him tight, her hands fisting into his sweater. "That isnt fair to you Viper." He pulled back and smirked, his usually calm eyes blazing with desire. He leaned down and captured her lips, pulling her against him and a hand cupping her jaw. He pulled away as she whined, missing his lips on her. "I want this too Melody." He leaned down, his lips next to her ear.
"Besides, you wouldn't believe the fantasy three ways I've had with you and the super model Adrien Agreste."
He ran off and through the door, laughing as a gob smacked Marinette stared after him. Alya laughed as the rocker ran up to Adrien, taking the other end of the Christmas lights and helping wrap them around the tree. She looked between Marinette and the boys, a brow raised and a knowing smirk on her face. She and Luka talked a lot when they weren't with Marinette, both acting as each other's unofficial therapist. She had an idea what this was about.
She jogged up to the blunette and dragged her inside, biting back a laugh as Marinette couldn't take her eyes off the boys. Alya leaned down and poked her in the nose, a supportive smile on her face.
"Come on girl, come help your boys."
