Damn it. I didn't do math my math right. For some reason, I really thought it had been three days! And then I started freaking out and immediately started writing. It wasn't until I completely finished the chapter that I realized, there was no rush at all! Eh, it's fine. This chapter was actually a lot of fun anyway.

Enjoy, and...

Never Let Them Make You a Piece in Their Games.

Joyous snow is everywhere outside. On the ground, the trees, the plants, the cars, the houses, dancing down through the air. It's truly beautiful, but no winter snowing is complete without the rest of the scene.

I connect my phone to the Bluetooth speaker and turn on the,

J A Z Z Y C H R I S T M A S album by lofi. I nod and dance a bit to the music, it's perfect for this weather.

The oven has finished preheating so I set the cookie sheet in. I'm making a whole bunch of different Christmas/Winter sweet treats. Right now, the Christmas pinwheel cookies have just gone in. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. The green, red, and white swirls are all separated and clear.

In a few minutes I need to put the Christmas light cupcakes in with the cookies, then after a few more minutes I'll be able to take out the cookies and leave the cupcakes in.

The kitchen is an organized mess, but hey, organized mess. I can navigate in it, doesn't mean anyone else has to. Mess is cool. It just means you're working hard.

I chuckle as Shrek 2 pops into my head.

"Workin' harder, hardly workin'..."

Shit, am I ever gonna get that movie out of head?

Hmm...No.

Naan and Paratha are downstairs using the bakery kitchen for what they're making.

I'm making the cookies, the cupcakes, Struffoli, the yule log cake, gingerbread cinnamon rolls, orange creamsicle truffles, the Christmas eclairs(they just have Christmas sprinkles on them), and the cranberry, gingerbread, and peppermint macarons.

Naan is making the Christmas fudge, peppermint hot chocolate bombs, hot chocolate brownie cups, and the black forest cupcakes.

Paratha is making the egg nog, applesauce donuts, the Grinch cookies, gingerbread sandwich cookies, and the white chocolate Christmas truffles.

If you think that's a lot...

You're right. It is a lot.

Sorry, dinner is nowhere as much as the treats we make but, you know, who doesn't want cavities?

For dinner, I make the sausage roll and the baked brie wreath(those are two separate wreaths mind you). Naan makes the green bean casserole and the cranberry glazed turkey meatballs. And Paratha makes the salmon en croute.

To make it easier on ourselves, we make the same dinner for Thanksgiving with a few adjustments and way more stuffing.

Stuffing...I love stuffing...

Stop it Peeta! Daydreaming about other food in the kitchen?!

I pick up some of the frosting.

"I won't cheat on you...right now. Thanksgiving is different and you all know it!" I say to the rest of the kitchen.

"Uh, Pretzel Bite?" I turn and find Naan standing at the doorway from downstairs. My cheeks have to be as red as the frosting on my hands.

"Oh, hey Muffin!" Awkwardness and embarrassment is all too clear in my voice. "What's up?"
