Okay. I tHoUgHt the last one was my favorite but now...
This is my favorite chapter yet I think. But the last one will have a very special place in my heart still.

Enjoy, and...

Never Let Them Make You a Piece in Their Games.

P.S. Hope you like this chapter! Let me know what you think, and have a magical day!

Later, Pretzel Bites!!💕✌

P.P.S. I'm really sad that AO3 doesn't let you make the letters colored, otherwise this chapter would be so much more fun!
IDF was in a cute pink text and OSD was in fabulous red!

P.P.P.S. Whoever can list every reference made in this chapter gets a ChEzBun and ✨Pretzel Bite✨ homemade from yours truly!

The turtleneck sweater fits over my head snuggly in a good way. I really like these cozy white cargo sweatpants too. They still fit nicely while still being super comfortable.

Besides...I feel cute.

I double knot my black shoe laces and leave my room. Naan is laying down cross legged like a prince on the couch. Paratha is on his phone at the table. I pick up each of the Christmas presents and take them out to the car. Each present is their favorite color. I put all the white boxes in my satchel and smile when I lift the green bag into the car.

Christmas decorations are everywhere. Lights are hung up around the room. The smell of gingerbread cookies and peppermint candies are strong in the air. The old nutcracker is on the coffee table in the living room. (Old in two ways. One, he's got a white beard. Two, that guy is old as fuck. He's older than I am.) A bright wreath is on the outside of the door.

We don't do Christmas trees. We tried for one year, when I was younger. But when Mom got home and it still wasn't gone because of how busy we had been, she had yelled at Dad all night. My brothers and I didn't sleep, the sound of furniture being scraped off the floor too intense for us to close our eyes.

When I step outside-after saying goodbye to my bros-with my bag slung over my head and resting on the opposite shoulder, my soft orange turtleneck, and my feeling of determination I feel as if I'm on an adventure.

The Lexus is covered in a blanket of snow that I may or may not have kept on there on purpose because I think it looks pretty. However, I did scrape off the ice on the windshield so I won't crash and die. I'm a pretty safe driver, especially on icy roads. You won't catch me dying just yet.

Driving to District 4 is a little scary when this random car came out of nowhere and pulled right in front of me, but it's all good.

I knock on Annie's door and wait a bit. A woman with the same reddish hair as Annie opens the door and smiles at me. I've met her before; only once though.

"Oh hello Mrs. Cresta! Are Annie and Finnick here?" I ask as politely as I can, giving her a little bow that she chuckles at.

"Yes, they're in her room, down the hall, first door on the right," she responds nicely. I nod my head and go down the hall. It's a comfy home, orangish wood, brown leather furniture, gives off a kind of retro vibe. The only sad thing about it is the lack of holiday spirit. It makes me sad to see such a barren home on a day like this.

In advance, I should have knocked on her door.

It's something I'll regret for the rest of my life.

So I walk in on a full blown, heated, spicy, not-even-a-make-out-session-anymore-session. Finnick is...her neck....she's...
