"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO LUNA!?"
She cut his hand off, but the boy didn't even flinch.
"I'm saving her, like she asked... and like I did to you..."
"You almost croaked back then. Your sister begged me to save your lives, no matter the cost..."
...
...
"The others are there..."
"We're... not humans anymore..."
"No, you're humans. Even if your bodies are different, you're still humans."

Anby charged in, her sword slicing down toward the masked Thiren. She had to get back to Nicole and Billy, there was no time to waste.
But before she could land her strike, something slammed into the side of her head.
Her head snapped to the side as something heavy slammed into it.
'W-Wha–?!' Her vision blurred, but she shook it off quickly, forcing herself to stay upright. 'What hit me?'
Her eyes flicked sideways, catching only a flash of silver sweeping toward her, too fast to block and she was too slow to dodge.
Crunch!
Pain exploded across her face as the second strike hit her head-on, her nose shattering with a sharp, sickening crack. Blood gushed from her nostrils as the metallic taste rushing over her tongue.
'Tails!?' The thought barely formed before a third slammed into her stomach, launching her off her feet and crashing her into the compartment behind.
The impact drove the air from her lungs, forcing out a harsh cough. She hit the ground on all fours, her chest heaving as blood dripped from her chin. Her head pounded, but she looked up fast, she couldn't afford to lose sight of the Thiren.
"Anby Demara is not the one I want to fight," the masked figure said as one of their tails curled beneath them, forming a seat they casually dropped onto. "Your movements are sharp, yes, but... that isn't your real fighting style."
Before she could reply, they pulled out two swords seemingly from nowhere and tossed them at her feet. The blades landed with a dull thunk, standing upright in the ground.
"I want to see what the captain of Silver Squad is really capable of," they said. "So I went ahead and replicated your old weapons."
Anby's brow furrowed. "How?"
She fixed her nose with a slight grunt.
"Told you. Digging through junk data in the network's a pain in the ass—but nothing's impossible." They shrugged.
Her gaze flicked down to the swords then caught something else in the corner of her eye.
She snatched it midair. A... bean?
"Eat it," the masked figure said. "You'll be back to full strength."
Anby hesitated for a second, eyeing the little green bean between her fingers. Then, without a word, she popped it into her mouth.
