Ariana POV
So apparently Steven likes scary movies and that’s exactly what we watched; quarantine. It’s a movie about these people that are trapped in a building and the rats contaminate them and they turn to zombies. To say that I was scare was the least I held on to Steven and hid in to his shoulder so many times I lost count. The whole time he was chuckling finding it amusing. At one point I begged him if we could stop the movie but he wouldn’t he said I had to watch the end because they usually killed the bad guys at the end; he was wrong. So when the credits rolled I was more mortified then before and my heart would rise at any little sound.
“I fuc-ken hate you!” I say hitting his shoulder but he just chuckled and stood up.
“There is nothing to fear babe” he says looking around the room then stops looking frightened.
“What?!” I ask looking in his direction not seeing anything but when I turn back he yells loudly in my face and I cry out startled jumping off the couch and landing hard on the ground. “I hate you! Get out!”
“Sorry… I just had to do that” he says smirking grabbing my hand and helping me to my feet.
“You’re the worst! I wont be able to sleep peacefully for a while!” I cry out standing up and looking around listening for any sound of a rat.
“Well at least you will think of me then” he says with a cocky grin then winks.
I huffed and shoved his chest but he just kept that grin plastered on. I turn away and stomp off to the kitchen to make some dinner. Steven came over and sat on the stool watching me so intensely that I thought he would burn holes on the back of my head. “What?” I finally said turning.
“I just think you’re cool” he says with a shrug.
“Riiiiiight” I say rolling my eyes but I was kinda liked that he said that.
“No really! I mean your pretty brave moving out and then having to move in with Luke” he says shaking his head and chuckling.
“Pff I’ve been acting like I was living on my own a long time ago… and Luke well… he isn’t so bad sometimes” I say with a frown unable to believe my own words.
“What are you making?” he asks and I smile looking back.
“Mac and cheese, salad and fried chicken” I say with a shrug smiling.
“Damm girl you have to cook some for me! I hate Luke! Why don’t you in with us next semester?” he asks hopeful.
“I’ll think about it” I say with a light giggle.
“I hope you do Aria” he says and I sigh beginning to toss the chicken in. I had already covered it with egg and flour with spices. I washed my hands then drained the macaroni and then put it in with butter and the cheese sauce in a pot. I look back at Steven still watching me and huff.
