waking up to the last day of camp, you decided to commemorate surviving the entire week by doing ten laps with sakusa, which ended in a terrible mistake.

you forced and exerted yourself to your limit to the point you spent a quarter— or even half of your day in the clinic. although, you still got to train before you were sent to the clinic but it was not enough to your liking.

presently, you and the black-haired boy are walking towards the bus stop together yet at a distance.

it was quiet; you were silent, presumably because you were still tired from exerting too much during your ten laps earlier.

he wanted to ask how you were but you seemed out of it— even almost bumping into a tree thankfully, sakusa was able to pull you swiftly and easily.

"watch where you're going," he gently said as you blinked. "you're spacing out a lot, are you okay?" he asked as you hummed in response. "yeah, just exhausted."

you both continued to walk but this time, he was closer to you; in case you'd fainted and collapsed due to your condition, "i told you it was a bad idea," you sighed, "i'm sorry, i should've listened." you sheepishly looked down, kicking small stones as you walk.

he stayed silent and glanced at you, observing your actions from the smallest details to the most obvious ones.

looking up, you see the bus. you hurriedly tugged sakusa's jacket as you pointed to the bus, "kusa, the bus!" you exclaimed, grabbing ahold of his wrist and running to the bus stop.

though you both ran, you were too slow consequently due to exhaustion so the black-haired boy took the lead instead. it was your first time running this fast— you almost felt like you were competing for track and field in the olympics.

fortunately, you were able to ride the bus before it was able to go. panting as you enter the bus, you immediately sit on a vacant seat, almost forgetting to pay but fortunately for you, he paid for yours too.

there was another vacant seat beside you but thinking you were uncomfortable sitting next to a male, he instead sat on the vacant seat just behind you.

minutes passed by, your breathing was much more steady than when you entered the bus and you also fell asleep but your head was bobbing because of the bus's movement which made you slightly uncomfortable.

sakusa was sure if you stayed in that state, you'd have a neck strain and as someone who admires you, as someone who he looks up to as a top athlete, he swiftly and carefully sat beside you while the road was stuck in red light.

he gently lifted your head that was previously leaned on the window to his shoulder— he, of course, had cleansed his hands before he touched you, for precautions.

once stopped at a bus stop, he quietly glanced at your face. it was much more relaxed and comfortable than earlier. he delicately swept a strand of hair from your face to your ears as you slept peacefully.

for someone who disliked touching other people, he didn't mind being slightly touchy with you. maybe because he wanted to know how and what it feels like to be a top athlete such as you, ergo he felt comfortable around and with you.

along the bus ride to the bus stop near itachiyama, a thought suddenly popped into sakusa's head; he does not have your number therefore, he has no mode of communication with you unless you see each other.

he glanced over at you before writing on a small, ripped paper from his bag and wrote his number. seeing you fast asleep, he was able to successfully place the small paper into your bag.

he hoped you'd be able to see it after reporting to your perspective coaches.
