Bonded by love

Chapter 14

After knowing that Karan and Vivan were living together Karan's father was very angry he went to his office and went directly inside the Karan's cabin.He was fuming in anger.

Father: (slamming his fist on the desk) How could you do this, Karan? Move in with some...some...(he spat out the words)  man without even telling me?, that too a man are you real for this.

Karan: (calmly) Dad, please understand...

Father: (cutting him off) Understand? You're my son, and you're living with that bratty doctor who don't know how to talk with someone.

Karan: (firmly) Vivan is not a brat, Dad. He's a good person, and he's been helping me and Gowen,he is a good doctor who helped us through a lot and I love him and Gowen also loves him......

Father: (scoffing) Helping you? By corrupting you with his lifestyle?,listen to me Karan he is not good for you and what are gonna tell to the society that you love a boy....how am I gonna face them?

Karan: (anger rising) That's not fair, Dad! Vivan has done nothing but support me and Gowen,so what if he is a boy he is kind,nice and smart,love is not bounded by a gender anyone can love anyone...

Father: (yelling) What?Have you lost your mind?Do you want me to book a session with doctor to check you?huh? Living with boy that too romantically I can't even imagine...

Karan: (standing up) That's enough, Dad! You have no right to judge Vivan or our relationship...

Father: (seething) I'm your father, and I have every right! You're my son, and I won't stand by and watch you ruin your life...

Karan: (firmly) My life is not being ruined, Dad. It's finally starting to make sense. And Vivan is a big part of that.

Father: (disgusted) Fine. If that's how you feel, then maybe you shouldn't have any connection with us and please don't come back to our house again, we have to face the society...

Karan: (sadly) Maybe I won't, Dad. But know this - I'm happy, and I won't let you or anyone else take that away from me.

Father: (outraged) You're choosing him over your own family?

Karan: (tearfully) I'm not choosing anyone, Dad. I'm choosing happiness. And if you can't accept that, then maybe it's best we take a break.

Father: (fuming) Fine. Take your break. But know this, Karan - you're making a huge mistake.

Karan: (sadly) I hope not, Dad. But I have to try.

As the conversation ended, Karan's father stormed out of the office, leaving Karan feeling shaken but determined. He knew he had made the right decision, but it was hard to see his father so angry and hurt.

Just then, Vivan walked into the office, concern etched on his face. "Hey, are you okay? I saw your dad storm out of here..."

Karan nodded, feeling a lump form in his throat. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a disagreement with my dad."

Vivan's expression softened. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Karan nodded, and Vivan pulled him into a warm embrace. "I'm here for you, Karan. Always."

Vivan: (softly) Hey, what's going on? You can tell me anything.

Karan: (taking a deep breath) It's just you know that my dad and I have never gotten along. He's always been so critical and disapproving.

Vivan: (encouragingly) Go on.

Karan: (sadly)He first didn't want me to adopt Gowen and now when you moved in with me he said it was a mistake, that I was ruining my life,two boys living together is not a good thing.

Vivan: (anger rising) That's horrible,how can he say that everyone one has right to love ...

Karan: (tearfully) Because he's always wanted me to be like him. To have a "normal" family, with a wife and biological kids. But that's not me, I can't have a normal family I like you and no matter what happens I can't live without you....(almost crying).

Vivan hugged him,and they both felt warmth of eachother.

Vivan: (gently) I know. And that's what makes you so amazing, Karan.

Karan: (smiling through tears) And I have you, Vivan. I love you.

Vivan: (smiling back) I love you too, Karan. So much.

As they hugged, Karan felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He knew he had found his true family, with Vivan and Gowen by his side.
