The pure white flowers of the night jasmine tree emitted a captivating fragrance, reminiscent of the beautiful face of the nagi maiden from the Kanthakhotama family. She sat there, with a radiant smile, admiring her golden necklace adorned with sparkling green gems, under the shade of a large tree by the edge of a majestic pond.
"Sirareen."
The low voice of Lord Warasin, leader of the Chappayaputta family, called out to his eldest daughter, before his imposing figure entered the room.
"Lord Father." With trembling hands, she hastily tucked away her necklace into a warm bundle of cloth. She stood up and faced her father.
Although her father belonged to the rainbow lineage, Sirareen was born as a dark-skinned nagini, just like her mother.
"What are you hiding in that bundle of cloth?" The narrowed eyes stared directly at the spot where she had hidden her precious jewelry.
"I... " Her lips quivered, unable to answer the question. Her beautiful eyes discreetly glanced downwards at the lush green grass.
"You are just like your mother, never at fault. Always desiring, always daring to commit deceitful acts." Lord Warasin's face contorted with anger.
The day before, the guardian spirit of the city reported to him that Sirareen had secretly descended into the mortal realm, into the boundaries of the netherworld palace, to meet with Lord Suriyen. He informed him that Lord Suriyen would be the next ruler of the netherworld city and that he was also engaged to Sasikan-Devi's youngest daughter.
"Why did lord father speak of lady mother like that?"

Sirareen knew very well that her father despised and blamed her mother to the bone, simply because her grandfather forced her father to marry her mother for political power, even though her father already had someone he loved.
"Should I think well of a woman who uses dark magic to harm the one I love?"
"Lady mother is not what lord father claims her to be." Sirareen defended her mother.
"Huh! Be careful, Sirareen. Lord Suriyen is engaged to be married to Sasikan Devi's young daughter. Don't even think of competing with her, otherwise, I won't spare you."
"Lord father..." Her trembling figure shook, her clenched hands trembling with pain.
Since birth, I have forgotten what it feels like to be loved by a father. I have been branded as the daughter of a wicked witch who secretly killed her lover with cold blood.
"Don't let me find out that you're going to NakarinPalace again. Otherwise, I will destroy everything you love." Lord Warasin ordered sternly before turning around and preparing to leave the grand mansion.
"Did you ever love me, father?" Her voice trembled, mixed with sobbing. "You should know the answer."
Clear teardrops rolled down her smooth cheeks, never ending. The pain from the words of the person she loved with all her heart caused a stabbing sensation in her chest, before slowly sinking into the abyss of emptiness.
Mother.
I miss you deeply.
"Lady Mother...take me with you. Please!"

The edges of her lips turned pale as she trembled slightly. Bony fingers pulled the bedding tightly until it curled up, while drops of sweat burst throughout her face. Despite the room temperature being below 18 degrees.
...
"My love."
Suriyen, who was reading documents on the sofa, stood up and walked over to lightly shake Salin's body. But no matter how he tried to wake him, he couldn't make Salin wake up from his dream.
"Little Lin."
The more he tried to wake him up, the more strange and unfamiliar the words that came out of the little person's mouth became, as if it was speaking some sort of magic that he didn't know the meaning of.
"Are you having a bad dream, talented kid? I'm here. Come here. I'll blow away the bad dreams you're experiencing myself."
Suriyen leaned down to hug the trembling figure, accompanied by sobbing. His lips pressed against tears flowing from the corner of his eyes, unable to be stopped easily.
"Ah..."
The big round eyes moved under the thin eyelids. A heavy exhale returned to a normal state for a moment. The small hand slowly released from the bedding before being held tightly by a larger hand.
"Don't go." Salin said hesitantly, raising his thin hand and gently touching his cheek.
"You're so cute, how could I leave? " He smiled, lightly running his other hand through his soft, light-colored hair.
Who would have thought that such a fierce tiger would submit to this little kitten without any resistance.
