His figure sat still on the stone pedestal, only the sound of his shallow breaths escaping from his nose could be heard. His big eyes looked directly at the young woman's face with a desire to know the stories that happened in the past.
"Go back twenty-three years ago. That day was a moonless night, the day when I had the most power and it was a good day for me to seek revenge on the person who made me endure pain and suffering for hundreds of years." She spoke calmly, but her eyes suddenly became empty. Some wrinkles seemed to project various things within those eyes.
"Lord Suriyen, is that the person?" Salin asked.
"No, it's not him." the beautiful-faced Miss-Surinee declined, "It's Sasikan- Devi."
"Your younger sister?"
"Yes... she is my younger sister." she paused slightly, "Her soul and Lord Sathaban's have descended into this world as humans. It is true that I still hold some jealousy towards her, no matter which world she was born into. She was born into a noble and loving family, unlike me." Lin couldn't help but feel sorry for her."
"Sasikan-Devi was reborn as a man named Sasi..." The beautiful face looked directly at him.
"Her name is the same as my mother's." He muttered quietly.
"Yes, he is my sister from a past life. He is your mother in this life." her eyes showed a hint of sadness, "I'm sure you now hate me deep in your heart."

Salin did not answer the question, but he didn't retreat either. He continued to confront the person who had plotted against his mother.
"I have been watching over her since she was in the womb, waiting for the day her eyes would see her destiny. But all the time I spent watching her made me unintentionally develop weak feelings and contemplate letting her go according to fate. However, when she turned eighteen, Lord Suriyen appeared to protect her from me. It was as if he knew that if the day came when I sought revenge, I would surely act. This only made me feel even more resentful than before." The edges of her beautiful eyes became warm with tears.
"And then you chose to do that?"
"I was willing to do anything to make Lord Suriyen suffer. So, I chose to harm the hearts of the people they loved. During that time, Lord Sathaban was born as a man named Sathaban, or your father. He came into a relationship with her. So, I chose to harm both of them and make them die together. But even though I had great power, almost divine power, if the night of the death moon arrived, the power within me would almost disappear. That's when Lord Suriyen used that opportunity to imprison me in a cave under the netherworld city, until my pure soul regained karma. And now, I am determined to end it. But even though I am bound, I can't go anywhere."
"Then why am I involved in this, even though this story should have ended twenty years ago?" Salin asked with skepticism.
"Because I have envisioned the pure spirit within me, I wish to attain enlightenment in a good realm. But I do not understand why my spirit has been reborn in your mother's womb." She smiled and said, "But I would like to express my gratitude to your mother for taking care of you with love and nurturing you to grow up well."
"May I ask another question?"
Sirareen paused and nodded.
"The man I have dreamed about for twenty years, is he Lord Suriyen?"

The man had a slender figure, dressed in a green draped cloth and carried the scent of sweet jasmine that permeated the night of every waxing moon. He remained engraved in the youthful memories of his past.
"You understand correctly, Salin."
"Then why did you come into my dreams? We have no relation whatsoever. Furthermore, you said that I am a part of you and Lord Suriyen fight, and I should despise you, is that true?" Salin continued to ask without ceasing.
"Because a part of his spirit still lingers around you. As for that matter, I do not know. I wonder if you still despise me after all these years." Her beautiful mouth said gently.
"I do not understand." Salin shook his head, unable to comprehend. "We shall meet again, and I will ask you then."
"If that's the case, rest now. Tomorrow will be the time for us to meet again. Where you must return to the person who waits for you."
"Didn't you tell me that I would return on the night of the new moon? That still leaves several days, right?" Her beautiful eyes looked at him with suspicion.
"Because of the power of love and the beauty from family, loved ones, and yourself that brought you back before the new moon. Sleep well, my good boy." She gently lifted the small round head of the petite person before Salin easily fell asleep as if under a spell.
Sweet dreams... my good boy.
The soft light of the setting sun radiated onto the iridescent shell, waking Salin from the realm of confusing bewilderment. He slowly sat up and then let his legs hang down beside the rocky bed he had been sleeping on for a week.
"That necklace... I feel like I've seen it somewhere before." His eyes wandered towards the nagi, who was meditating on a stone pedestal, before he asked about the thing that intrigued his heart.
