Day 9, Arson or Lab
Welp! Might as well do Outlaw Au! Time to follow the ways of the Arson chicken! I guess a hint and spoilers to the next chapter of Outlaw- when I finally get to work on that!
Takes place after the last chapter of Outlaw! Wooooo!

Arson, the fire-breathing chicken
The featherless beings were arguing again. They were all yelling at each other and bickering like crows. I wandered around the weird metal area. It's unlike the flammable forest I am used to. The air always felt cold because of it, I snuck past them as they continued to snap like twigs.
The others sent me on a mission of course. To find the eyeless feathered one. I wandered around the maze of the metal forest looking for him. I found a slightly open-door room. I heard a wheezing sound coming out of it I stepped inside and looked in.
There he was. Laying in bed. One of his hands leaning off the side of the bed. He was groaning and wheezing in his sleep. I jumped up and sat on him. He was warm. I don't know if that's good for these species or not. I mean they are almost always cold. I sat next to him for a while and waited for him to take up in my presence.
He never did.
Instead, he lingered in his painful sleep. Twisting and turning. He must be sick with something. All I could do was wait and hope the arguing humans would help him out. I let some fire escape from my beak onto the metal ground below me. I hopped off and lay on the ground.
Someone has to watch over him, so it has to be me.
