Day 4, Soft or Letter

WOLKWAKER AU-

The only thing I could think of was to combine both. For reference!

This is an AU where Sabre is a wolf walker! What is a wolf walker? It's a person who when they sleep they have a spirit exit them and turn into a wolf. They can live as the wolf and have their human selves rested by it but have to return to their body to turn human again. When they bite they can change others into wolf walkers.

This is just the basis of Rainbow Quest but Sabre is a wolf walked That's all! Hope you enjoy it!

Sabre

My paws dug into the ground as I ran across the dirt path. Making my way to the Rainbow Kingdom. A small Steve village not far from here wanted me to send a message to Light. I told them I would do it tomorrow... but I couldn't help but be worried. What if this letter was more important and didn't want to bother me so late?

So here I am covered in soft fur running across the path with a letter in my mouth. My dark brown fur looked silver under the moonlight. The fields of plants and food shifted in the cold wind. Once I got close to the wall, I climbed up the cold stone edges and made my way to the top and back down again. I caught my breath as I shook out the dust and dirt gathered in my fur. I carefully walked between the houses. The sight of smells fills the air with a foggy vision. I found the familiar scent of Light and followed him. I weave through the tight buildings. My nose settled at a small colorless guard housing quarters.

I sneak inside through the window making it past the sleeping guards in beds. Keeping the clack of my nails against the wooden ground soft. The door wide open I squeezed past the door and went upstairs. Light as sitting at a meeting table on his own. Looking through his notes. He was exhausted.

I sat next to him and dropped the note on the table. He jumped back in surprise looking down at me.

"Oh... hello there." He takes the note and reads it. He knows me now. Everyone does, not as Sabre, but an odd large wolf who likes to help out at night. He runs his free hand between my ears. My tail wags slightly as he runs his cold hand against my warm fur.

"Ah I see, I'll send more guards as a precaution in the morning." He doesn't stop petting me. He gets up and heads to his room. I follow him from behind. He lies on his bed. Trying to sleep, but failing by the look of his eyes. How they constantly scan the room. Worried for his health I got into the bed with him and curled myself against him. He sighed, but let me as my head rested close to him, I didn't move until he was fast asleep.

I found myself staying there for the rest of the night.
