A pair of bluish yet very dark eyes observe mine with curiosity; desperate and hopeless. Those eyes are familiar to me, yet they are not the ones I aim to find.

Where are they? I wonder. Not too long ago, I saw them at every corner I turned.

     Now they are gone.

Where are they? I wonder as I stare into the gloomy blurry reflection of ice blue eyes. These aren't the ones I want.

I move towards my left, with the only aspiration of finding those eyes.

I stroll through the darkness, the pitch black abyss that are proving to be a maddening obstacle in my search. I can't distinguish anything but dullness, not a peak of light being able to sneak up past the shadows wrapped around me.

It feels like I'm floating on clouds. Dancing with the night. Drowning in the water. It feels like bubbling panic.

I wander aimlessly up until my hand lifts itself and encloses around a doorknob, pulling a door open. A burst of light painfully dabs at my eyes, though its blaze isn't that bright at all. With my eyes still open wide, and unbothered from this new source of light, I let them wander around our new surroundings.

There's no blue light in the yellow tones of the one that already shines brightly from above.

Where are you? I hiss in my mind. I can't find you.

If they're not visible while the gleaming lights from above bathe my surroundings, then they must be hidden away in the darkness.

Leisurely, I shift my gaze to the left, where the shadows reside. I take a step towards their direction and let them guide me into the beauteous glacial blue eyes.

I feel my feet climbing mountains, my hands heavily resting at myself sides, my eyes wide alert in search for my their match, their best friend, their mother, their sister.

     My older sister.

"Where are you?" I mumble into the gloom of my surroundings, not really expecting an answer but still clinging to that tiny hope struggling to survive in my heart.

As my feet make it up the mountain, a glint of light begins adorning my body, a sign that I must be close to finding her.

Just as I finally make it to the top, my eyes fill with unshed tears. There's light coming from the end of the path I'm about to follow.

Hurriedly, I command my feet to rapidly walk toward the source of brightness, yet it feels like an eternity has passed by the time I come face to face with said light.

I come so close to it, mere inches separate me from it.

As my vision sharpens, I look into the eye of the light, expecting to see a slightly distinctive tone of blue painted in the iris of the eyes I'm searching for.
