"You're leaving?" I asked dumbfounded, chewing on my cereals while locking my ice blue eyes with my second oldest brother.

Zeke narrows his eyes. "Are you okay with it? It'll only be until Friday, love, but if you want me to stay, I will."

I wish he could stay, but he's leaving on a business trip with Voski in half an hour, and I doubt telling Voski I want Zeke to stay will go very well.

So instead, I lie, "No, no, it's okay." I insert my full spoon of milk into my mouth in order to prevent any unwanted thoughts to slip past my lips. "Where are you going?"

My brother takes a seat on the stool next to the one I'm sat on. He puts his elbow on the counter and then rests his face on his palm, looking at me sleepily yet lovingly. "We're opening up a chain of hotels in Spain, so we're needed to do the final arrangements."

My eyes widen in astonishment. "You own hotels?" It's strange I never actually wondered what exactly my brothers did for a living.

A tiny smile tugs the corner of Zeke's lips. Chuckling, he says, "Where do you think all of this came from?" He gestures widely to our surroundings, meaning the enormously huge kitchen, the elegant and brand new cooking equipment... Every single non-living thing within the perimeter of my brother's mansion, basically.

I shrug my shoulders while narrowing my eyes, glaring at him. "I didn't actually think about it until now."

I put another spoonful of milk with cereals in my mouth, and glance at my wrist watch. It's only half past seven, I've still got time to spend with Zeke before I have to go to school and he has to take an airplane - a private one may I add - to Spain.

Zeke shifts on his seat. "You know, Mayne has a chain of gyms. Both here in Canada and some countries in Europe."

I nod in understanding, until someone else enters the room. "That's just because he wanted to be special and not work for the family business."

I whirl around to find Kipp strolling into the room, immediately going for the milk brick still sitting on the counter which I forgot to store back into the fridge. As my brother pulls the cap open and brings the brick to his lips, I think there is no need for that anymore. He finishes what was left in five gulps, screws the cap back on it and throws it in the bin. "Good morning, my dear siblings."

Zeke glares at him. "You know you can always pour it in a glass, right?" To some people it might seem like a suggestion, but it is Zeke's way of scolding our youngest brother for his "unruly" actions.
