Maya arrived at the office on Monday morning, coffee in hand, still mulling over her weekend with Kevin and Leo. The last few days had been a blur of flirty texts, late-night chats, and lingering thoughts about where everything was heading.

As she stepped into the office, the usual Monday morning lull was replaced by an unexpected buzz. People were chatting excitedly, and there was an electric energy in the air that piqued her curiosity.

"Maya, have you seen the new guy?" Priya, one of her colleagues, asked with wide eyes.

Maya raised an eyebrow. "New guy?"

"Yeah, he just started today. Everyone's talking about him. He's... well, you'll see."

Intrigued, Maya followed Priya to where a small crowd had gathered near the coffee machine. And then she saw him-Eric, the new co-worker. He was tall, with an athletic build, sharp features, and deep-set blue eyes that seemed to draw everyone in. His dark hair had a slight wave, and he was dressed in smart-casual attire that made him look effortlessly stylish.

There was something oddly familiar about him, and as she met his gaze, a sense of déjà vu washed over her. Those blue eyes reminded her of Leo in a way she couldn't quite place.

"Hey," Eric said, his voice smooth as he extended his hand. "You must be Maya. I'm Eric, the new guy."

Maya shook his hand, feeling a strange pull as she looked into his eyes. "Nice to meet you, Eric. Welcome to the team."

"Thanks. I've heard a lot about you," he said, his smile disarming.

She returned his smile, but her mind was already elsewhere. There was something about Eric that made her feel... unsettled. But she quickly shook off the thought, chalking it up to the hectic weekend she'd had.

As the day went on, Eric quickly became the center of attention. He was charming, witty, and seemed to know his way around technology better than anyone else in the office. The women in the office were practically swooning, and even the guys were impressed by his easygoing nature.

But Maya? She had other things to focus on-namely, Kevin and Leo. As attractive as Eric was, she wasn't about to get sidetracked. Not now.

During lunch, Maya sat with her usual group, trying to ignore the fact that Eric had somehow ended up at their table. He was effortlessly charming, making everyone laugh with his quick wit and playful banter. But when he looked at her, she felt that strange sense of familiarity again.

"Maya," he said, leaning back in his chair, "I was hoping you could show me around the office later. I'm still finding my way."

Maya hesitated, feeling a bit flustered by the way his blue eyes seemed to look right through her. "Sure, I guess. But there's not much to see."

He chuckled. "I'm sure you'll make it interesting."

She forced a smile, trying to ignore the way her heart skipped a beat. "I'll do my best."

As the day went on, Maya couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Eric than met the eye. His features, his demeanor-it was all too similar to Leo. And that made her uneasy.

That evening, Maya returned to her apartment, her mind swirling with thoughts about Eric. After settling in, she picked up her phone and opened her chat with Leo.

Maya: "Hey, so there's this new guy at work today. His name's Eric. He's... I don't know, there's something about him."

Leo: "Something good or something bad?"

Maya: "Honestly? I'm not sure. He's nice, really nice. But there's something about him that feels familiar. Like I've met him before."

Leo: "Familiar how?"

Maya: "I don't know, it's weird. He kind of reminds me of... you."

There was a pause in the chat, and Maya wondered if she had said too much.

Leo: "Reminds you of me?"

Maya: "Yeah, he has this look in his eyes that's similar to yours. It's probably nothing. I'm just being silly."

Leo: "Or maybe it's not nothing. Maybe you're just more aware of the people around you now."

Maya sighed, staring at the screen. "Maybe."

Leo: "Just be careful, Maya. Not everyone is who they seem to be."

Maya frowned, a shiver running down her spine at Leo's words. "What do you mean?"

Leo: "Just... keep your guard up. People have a way of surprising you."

Maya stared at the screen, her heart pounding. She couldn't tell if Leo was warning her about Eric or something else entirely. But one thing was clear-her life was becoming more complicated by the minute.

As she lay in bed that night, Maya couldn't stop thinking about Eric's blue eyes, Leo's cryptic messages, and the growing tension between her and the men in her life. She felt like she was standing on the edge of something big, but she didn't know what.

And that uncertainty was both thrilling and terrifying.
