"Well, I like to think that deep inside everyone knows what's important." Red gleamed, everyone in the living room listening to her small rant on pressurized beauty standards. Evermore replied to the comment, trying to engage in conversation; even if Folklore had said her way of speaking could be degrading to some. What that meant was far from her knowledge.
"It's hard to believe when you see women trying to disguise or change themselves," A hum from the woman, as if she was completing her thoughts, "I never understood that."
"Well, I mean, no, of course you wouldn't" Red waved her hands, trying to reason.
"Why?"
"Well, it's just, you know, someone who looks like you..." she gulped, "well wouldn't," she stared at Evermore, a fluster creeping to her cheeks, "just because of the way you look."
"I don't understand." Evermore tilted her head to the side, eyebrows furrowed. "What...what way do I look?" A small laugh came from Fearless across the room, suddenly cupping her hand over her mouth; whispering to Debut: who sat right on the couch, next to Reputation; who was also giggling while hearing the conversation.
"Well, you know, you're-" Red scratched the backside of her head, unsure of her next words, "you're structured," she bit her lip, corners of the mouth fuzzled from embarrassment, "very well."
Evermore kept her head sideways, even more confused than before. Speak Now snickered behind, fingers on her lips. Red rolled her eyes, sighing. "Movie's over, let's just go to bed."
Evermore walked with Folklore, Speak Now, and Poets upstairs; leaving her thoughts consuming; trying to understand what Red meant with 'well-structured'. Her sister, seeing this, slowed her pace; sauntering backwards right next to Evermore; leaning to whisper into her ear. "She declares thou art beautiful." Winking, she left with her girlfriends; each holding one's hand.
Evermore was left at the beginning of the hallway, her face bright red as Folklore's explanation ran through her mind, fingernails lining her jaw.
You're structed, very well.
She found herself grinning at the comment, hiding her face in her hands; giggling.
