AMARI
I wanted food. I watched Chris and Lynn through the car window as they shopped, and I scrolled my phone for nearby Ice Cream places. After they got into the car with the shopping bag, I started driving to the place. "We aren't home?" Lynn asks looking out the window.
"Nope, let's get some Ice Cream." I smile looking at Chris. Chris goes into the cute-looking shop, his overall vibe not fitting the place he was walking to at all. I look at Lynn, and she's staring up at the stars, shivering. Not thinking, I pull my sweatshirt off and put her head through it. "Put it on" I say
"Thanks" She pulls the sleeves on and returns to looking up at the stars. I pull out my phone and snap a quick picture. 'She's so cute' I thought. 'What am I thinking? She's Rylen's sister' I shake my head, but for some reason, I can't bring myself to delete the photo. I look at her in my hoodie. It hit right above her knees and the sleeves were big on her. I smiled as she pulled the hood over her head. Chris came out holding the Ice Creams. Lynn ran to him, took 2 of them, and handed me one. We walk over to a seat by the fireplace, and sit down. "We should take pictures" Chris says suddenly.
"Okay!" Lynn says, looking at me for my answer. He nods and smiles. Lynn and I do different poses as Chris takes photos. Then Chris and Lynn take photos together. "Are you two not going to take photos together?" She asks. Chris hands his phone to me and she makes us do different poses. Half an hour later, we were back at home, and Lynn rushed to the kitchen. I sat down on the couch as Chis sauntered up to me with a grin on his face. "Does someone have a crush?:"
"No." I reply
"Whatever you say Little Fox"
"Little Fox? Is that Amari's nickname?" Lynn asks as she walks out of the kitchen. I glare as Chris starts laughing hysterically.
"Yeah, we all have animal nicknames" I say, a little embarrassed.
"What are they?" Lynn asks with excitement gleaming in her eyes as she runs to sit by me.
"Amari Is a Fox, Shai is a Puppy, Rylen is a Cat, Aspen is a Otter, Roman is a Shark" Chris answered. "Oh, and I'm a wolf." I tUned Chris out after that, and started running a hand through Lynn's hair. She stiffened at first, but then relaxed into my touch. Her hair smelled like Vanilla. All of a sudden she jumped up and ran towards the kitchen. "I'll be right back! Go get everyone!" she said. Chris got up and started to get everyone.
Roman came down first. "What's going on?:" I shrugged and motioned for him to sit down. Everyone gathered around the coffee table, and Lynn ran out with shot glasses and alcohol. Then she scurried back into the kitchen. "Is that your sweatshirt Amari?" Rylen asks
"Yeah, she was cold.." I start. 'Why did I never think before I did anything? I thought as I smacked myself mentally.
"Good to know that you take care of my little sister." He replies and starts talking to Aspen. Lynn came back into the living room, holding a tray of jelly cups. She sets it down and starts handing them out. "What are those?" Rylen asks as he looks at it.
"Jelly Shots!" Lynn replies excitedly "Try one you guys!" I grabbed one and popped it into my mouth. It tasted like cranberry jello with alcohol in it.
"Wait, these actualy taste really good!" Roman says reaching for another one.
"Right!" Lynn squeals as she opens the soju and some beer and starts mixing them in cups.
"Let's play a game!" Shai suggested already on his 4th Jelly shot. All of a sudden Chris gets a call. He picks it up and holds it to his ear. I watch as his eyes darken, and his smile vanishes.
