The Bus Ride Home

You and Kokichi were on a class field trip today at a museum. As usual, you spent most of your time around him and talking to him. The way he made fun of some of the statues today made you so happy. However, his rambunctious acts seemed to annoy your other classmates, and he was told off several times.

When your class had to return home, it was late at night, so it was completely dark. Kokichi sat next to a window in the bus, so you sat next to him with your friends across the aisle. Kokichi looked like he had something on his mind, or perhaps he was just tired. Either way, you decided to not bother him and talk to your friends instead. You rested your hands in your lap and distracted yourself with mindless chatter. Suddenly, you feel something brush up against your hand. You look down and see that Kokichi has placed your hand on top of yours. Your eyes widen and your heart starts to beat faster as you glanced at his face. He was staring out the window, just trying to play it cool. You smile. He's probably really nervous, you thought. You shift your hand and interlace your fingers with his. He looks at you with wide eyes.

"So when did this start?" You ask. You didn't think he liked you like this.

"What about you?" He reflects.

"You didn't think I liked you?" You asked, surprised. Kokichi normally figures out everything like this.

"Well I am the Supreme Leader of evil," he replied.

You're surprised, because you've never seen this side of Kokichi before. Maybe he's lying about all this. Who knows? "Well I like you," you say. "I see how you try to cheer people up with your playfulness. I appreciate the way you always brighten up the room."

He looks at you and smiles. "Thank you, (Y/N)." He puts his head on your shoulder. He seems really tired.

You blush because Kokichi is so close to you. "No, thank you. Thank you for making me so happy." You really couldn't be happier on this dark bus. After liking Kokichi for so long, you're happy he finally opened up to you.
