Chapter Text
Nearly two hours had passed and dusk had started to show its face. The forsworn had now grabbed everyone they left alive and tied them together in chain gangs of ten and they all lined them up in the street. They were being told to wait but had no idea what for. The forsworn patrolled and beat anyone who attempted to move from their positions.
From the east side of the city Casix slowly and proudly rode the streets on his horse.. He had a blonde woman with a hood over her head tied to a chain he was holding following him on foot. Behind him was the Former Thalmor Militia. They all walked proudly themselves as their horses pulled a carriage. In this carriage was Vhornyak tied standing up to a post. He was barely hanging onto his life as the carriage bounced his body, parading his capture for the citizens.
No one spoke a word as they watched their cities symbol of strength suffer. A few small sniffles could be heard as they passed but any outbursts were quickly treated with violence by the forsworn.
They all turned and headed south down the main road until they stopped right between where the tavern and longhouse used to stand on each side. Casix stepped from his horse and the militia stopped and removed Vhornyak from
His display. They then laid him down in the carriage and put a cloth covering over him and took the post off and laid it in the street."Take him to my cook. He will be drained and butchered. Tonight you feast on justice." He said.
The militia all nodded and jeered as and began to shake the carriage Vhornyak was in, insulting and taunting him.
The forsworn began taking the groups of men and herded them around Casix as he dismounted his horse and took Vhornyak's hammer and slung it over his shoulder. Several of the forsworn men stood behind Casix and then Aratore was brought out into the streets with his hood still on and his hands tied behind his back as a large log was rolled into the streets.
Casix reached onto his horse and grabbed a cloth sack and a long metal stick with a branding iron on the end. He laid the brand in the coals of what was once the tavern. He then pulled his blonde prisoner over to Aratore and ripped the hood from her head, revealing Trish. The men behind Casix stated to move in closer behind him as Aratore's hood was pulled off.
"Trish!" He immediately exclaimed as she was the first thing he saw.
"That's what I thought." Casix said as he violently pulled the chain he had around Trish and yanked her behind him into his men. The men immediately grabbed her and ripped her clothing off and then grabbed her arms and legs and held her in place.
Aratore instinctively and foolishly ran after her as if he could do anything. Casix stuck his foot out and tripped Aratore who landed on his face since his hands were tied behind his back. Casix grabbed him by his hair and forced him back up to his feet. He walked a circle around Aratore as if he was inspecting him.
He reached out and touched Aratore's pendant and rubbed his fingers along the design.
"I'll let you keep this. A nice reminder of a life that once was. With your old masters."Casix then reached into the bag he retrieved from his horse and pulled out Aratore's bow and held it up to him.
"My spies have heard much about you and your archery skills. They say you never miss. With a bow like this I'm inclined to believe them."
He then laid it on the ground in front of Aratore.
