'cause maybe, close just isn't close enough. maybe my passion just ain't enough.' — TBH , partynextdoor"she's so fucking full of herself. she's not even gonna fit the dynamic of our team." paige argued with her phone as she shouted endlessly to azzi about her previous encounters with victoria.
azzi had been getting tired of her constant complaining knowing that paige hadn't even tried to reckon things with the girl. but just as she always did she let her best friend rant about the supposed 'satan's spawn'.
"well we'll see how she does tonight? most of the team is coming back this afternoon so..." azzi stated, hoping that was enough to ease paige's thoughts for now. or at least the moments that spared before victoria could do something else to tick paige off.
"imma make a petition to get her kicked off." paige lay her hand over her face, groaning as she fell into her pillow. paige had many ways she could kick victoria hart out of uconn. most of them being illegal but there were a reasonable amount of things paige could hold against victoria for to say she deserved it. reasons being that victoria was a raging bitch.
"okay let's see if anyone besides you would actually sign it." azzi laughed, finding paige's adamancy humorous.
but nothing was a joke. paige couldn't bare the sight of victoria. every little thing she did was always lead to something bitter. her whole life planned based of malicious intentions. moving to uconn was probably just another one of her ways to get back at paige.
"so you're saying you wouldn't sign it for your best friend?" paige scoffed. there was no point in having hope that victoria could be a nice person. she already knew she wasn't. it was only a matter of time that everyone else would become victim to victoria's filtered compliments and false charms.
"no i wouldn't. because i'm not a horrible person." azzi said like it was obvious. which it should be for any sane person.
"yeah well you just wait."
victoria hart didn't fit in at uconn. paige was determined to prove that to everyone who believed otherwise.

it was cold as victoria hart walked into the practice centre. uconn hoodie cuddled closed to her chest as she pulled it above her head, throwing it to the sidelines as she ran laps around the court. breathing in deeply as only the sounds of her shoes fulfilled her eardrums in an oddly comforting symphony.
she was nervous to say the least. she wanted to be good with everyone on the team, not wanting any resentment with paige to effect future relationships with her other teammates. to be hated by only paige didn't matter, but to be hated by the whole team would mean everything.
so as the basketball player ran her laps, practicing a cheerful smile only the worst thoughts caved into her mind. digging deep into her flesh until it craved the last of her humility.
"already training?" nika muhl took calculated footsteps towards victoria who abruptly stopped in her position. adjusting her t-shirt as she met the brunette girl half way.
nika smiled warmly, opening her arms for a small hug wrapping her arms around victoria as she gladly fell into them.
"hey, i'm nika." nika have heard lots about victoria. at this point who hadn't? the girl was everywhere. it was impossible to escape that charming smile and cool demeanour that had everyone at the edge of their seats yearning to see more from her.
