'i'll figure out if i'm down, if i'm down for you.' — D4U , avenoirit is crazy how convincing your mind can be. how the simplicity of just a few words can change the whole trajectory of your thinking. that you opinions can be quickly influenced and swayed if the right person was speaking.
as paige bueckers listened intently to victoria, clinging to every single word as she stared so deeply you'd think she had just witness a claude monet painting.
but victoria hart was basically the equivalent. her smile so wide it made her eyes squint. a smile so irresistibly charming its envious. yet again a lot of things about victoria was envious, how her face lacked many flaws which was humanly possible but of course victoria was the exception as the earths blessing.
victoria was funny, smart, talented in everything. so she draped in confidence as if it was the only thing that fuelled her body. she carried this solidified foundation about her, calm and meek yet driven by aggression and sarcasm. jealousy's biggest fear and also so happens to be paige's.
victoria had beautiful brown curly hair. coiled and perfect bouncy girls that always look good, no matter what way victoria would flaunt it. she had hazel eyes that brightened into a sort of light green in the sun yet a darkish brown in dimmed settings. a cute button nose that seemed like someone hand crafted it onto her face—perfectly dipped nose bridge and faint freckles coating the skin spreading to her cheeks. life was truely unfair when people like that exists.
though victoria (as much as she'd hate to admit) was completely and entirely jealous of paige bueckers. you could even see it in victoria's face as she watched paige talk, the crinkle between her brows only deepening as she swallowed the blonde's words as if it was the most important information she had ever heard of.
paige had a glossy blonde hair that ran long over her shoulders, a perfect texture that no matter what hairstyle she put tied it in it would look flawless on her. paige had the face that was unforgettable, the human brain can mostly remember thousands of people's faces throughout your life but paige's is one that you would randomly remember every. single. day. perhaps it was her blue eyes that made you stomach do that stutter thing when she looked at you. that feeling you get when getting to the dip in a roller coaster or driving down a steep hill.
paige was unbelievably charismatic. a person that held so much character and light, she was magnetising in the way she spoke so confidently and assuringly. in everything she did it doubtless.
victoria and paige were envious of one another, envy will and always will be mistaken for hatred. but in this case, they felt both.
the jealousy is just what made them hate each other even more.
"anyways, we should get going now. i'll see you guys at practice tomorrow." victoria cheesed with a wave, walking backwards towards her friends who warmed a smile over their faces in mutual respect.
"that was the first time i've ever seen you silent when victoria was speaking." ice chuckled, taking a sip from her straw as she bit down on the plastic.
"shut up, i'm just tired." paige excused, light in her steps as she moved with carefully evaluated steps towards the car. scanning the carpark slowly in search for a certain brunette before entering the passenger seat.
"why are you acting all stingy for?" kk shoved a handful of fries in her mouth, the grease staining her fingertips as she crinkled the napkin between her hands wiping her palms clean as she turned to paige with a raised brow, incredulously.
"no i'm not." paige was a painfully horrible liar. it was a horrible thing to witness as she pulled a sour expressions across her cheeks as her eyes squinted. lips downturning into a frown as she threw back a choked gag.
