Swoosh. The arrow hits the target, straight in the center. I smile, and wipe some of the sweat off of my forehead. I've had alot of practice over the years. Ever since the Orc attack on my village in Lorien, I've been working extra hard. My Nana and Ada died trying to save me, but the Orc filth kept on coming.

I don't know who it was, or why he chose to save me, instead of many of the other dying Elves. But all I remember, is seeing a dark shadow, surely covered in a cloak- jump from the roof of a burning house, and land in front of me just as the Orc was about to attack. I was twelve when that happened. I don't know if I was frightened or amazed, that a boy- maybe a few years older than me; could jump from the roof just to save my life. Whoever did, I still thank them every single day before I go to bed.

The boy stood boldly out towards the Orcs surrounding me. Bless my eyes, even in the dark, I could see the Orcs' fear. They took a step back, and the mysterious boy started fighting them off. He had a sword made of strong iron, and was slashing and jabbing at the Orcs. When they all died, he just ran to more surrounded Elves.

He didn't even look back, and I was about to say thank you before he left. It hurt me a little, to think that I didn't get to say a quick thank you to him. He saved my life! I would at least think he would stand there and wait for me to say thank you. Maybe he would look annoyed, and tap his toe, waiting for my thanks. But no. He didn't even look back.

I retreave the arrow, and head to the sword practice area. I grab my sword, and start to slash at the hay filled dummy. My sword skills are the exact same as his. I slash the exact same way he does. I guess I was inspired by his courageousness. As I practice, I hear a sound and quickly whip around grabbing my bow, and knock an arrow in. I lower my bow a little. The leaves of the bushes and trees rustle. Surely its an Orc. I wait for it to come charging out, with its Warg... But instead, Legolas steps out. I take a step back, surprised.

"Legolas! What on Middle Earth are you doing in Rivendell?" He smiles a little.

"Jee, Mellon... You nearly shot me. I am here to visit you, like I promised. " I drop my weapons, and rush towards him, enveloping him in a hug.

"Legolas, you could have at least made an announcement. I thought you were an Orc."

He snickers into my ears, before pulling back. "Yeah, like what? I should next time go like this: PRINCE LEGOLAS OF GREENWOOD HAS ARRIVED TO SEE HIS BEST FRIEND ALIANNA DAUGHTER OF ELROND!" He throws up his hands, and I quickly smack his arm.

"What are you thinking?! Are you insane?! Have you been drinking?! We could get caught by Orcs!"

"Oh...I never thought of it that way.." He drops his arms, and pouts. "I just wanted to have fun..." I can see his bottom lip tremble.

"Oh you big baby!" I laugh, and he looks at me, trying to keep his sad face, but fails.

"You got me, Alianna..." He puts his hands up in surrendur. "Now take me to your kingdom, where I should be thrown in the dungeon for trying to fake cry."

I grab his arms, and my weapons, before walking from the forest, to my home.

"So how has Lord Elrond been?" Legolas asks, as we near the kingdom.

"Shush!" I say hitting him on the back of the head lightly. "Prisoners are to remain sighlent until proven innocent!" He laughs slightly.

"Come on...lets just get to the castle." He says chuckling quietly.
