Dedicated to @caityg99 for helping meHey guys. Sorry for the looong wait. I am currently sick, and I have been super busy. But I put alot of time and effort into this chapter. Even though there is nothing to it. Ya .. It's taken me a week to write this. In between class, in the hallways while getting to class, I stumble into walls, trying to get this done. But I still haven't finished. Ya.. So plz, if I haven't updated... It's proly bc I feel like s**t.. Or I'm busy with homework. Ya... I sleep at 12 in the morning... Bc of l my school work.. If I can manage my time, I will be able to get time to write a chapter. But ya.....
We walk on the snowy mountain. My legs ache. Legolas and I both trudge on top of the snow, while The rest of the fellowship trek through the snow.
"Damn Pointy Ears." Gimli mutters to himself.
I turn around and smirk. "I can hear you, you know." He frowns. "Damn Elves with their hearing."
I laugh. "What do you have against us?" (I'm sure he has nothing against them.XD)
"Nothing. Except you and your kin called me a Goblin Mutant." He glares at me and Legolas.
" Well... Gimli, I'm very sorry for putting you down. " I say, patting him on the shoulder. He smiles.
All of a sudden, Frodo falls, and tumbles down the snowy mountains.
"Frodo!" I cry, reaching out to grab him just in time. "Are you alright?" He nods, before patting for his Ring. His shirt moves to the side, and I cannot see the Golden Glint of Power.
He searches more frantically now. He claws for it. But it is not there. Then I see it. Lying in the snow, was the Ring on its chain. The snow covers it a little bit. Then Boromir picks it up.
"Such a strange fate one has to carry. It is a burden to us all. ( I'm not using exact words. Just what I heard him say. I'm in a very loud lunchroom at the moment.)
" Boromir, give the Ring to Frodo. " Aragorn commands. I see fire in his eyes. Boy, is he mad.
Boromir steps out of his trance, and shakes his head, before stepping Slowly towards the Hobbit. A look of regret washes over his face.
"Take it. I care not." He hands it to Frodo, who snatches it away from Boromir. He smiles and ruffles the little Hobbits hair. Then he walks to the front of the group and we start trekking on again.
My heart still thumps in my chest, as I remember how scared Frodo seemed.
As we climb, the snow that flutters down, starts to grow thicker and thicker as we climb. I feel my brain freeze. I clutch it dramatically. Aragorn looks at me, as if I was a crazy Oliphant. Yeesh, I can feel the friendship between us. Note the sarcasm. Pippin and Merry look like they might die, in an ice cube, if they don't get somewhere warm in a few seconds. Their blonde brown hair looks red in the cold. Poor them. Legolas walks on top of the snow, while the rest of the Fellowship grumbles about their toes getting frostbite, and how their legs feel like they are fused together.
All of a sudden, I hear a tiny voice in the air. " There is a fell voice in the air!" Legolas exclaims.
Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; nai yarvaxae rasselya!
The voice shouts, its deep voice ringing in my ears. "It's Saruman!" Gandalf yells over the bowling winds. A few boulders tumble from the top of the mountain. I press myself against
The mountain, trying not to get squashed.
"He is trying to bring down the mountain!" Aragorn yells. "Gandalf, we must turn back!"
"No!" He yells. Ugh Gandalf why so stubborn? He goes to the edge of the cliff and starts to chant back. "Losto Caradhras sedho, hodo, nuitho I ruith!"
Saruman's voice over powers Gandalf's. Nai yarvexea rasselya tultuva notto-carrinar!" A fork of lightning slices through the air, and hits the mountain. More boulders tumble down. Legolas pulls Gandalf to safety just in time the snow comes pouring down on us.
There came a time in my life;many actually, where I had snowball fights with Legolas. We were carefree, and innocent children. We still are carefree, but we are adults. But, every single time I had a fight with Legolas, he would always win. And in the end, my hair would be messy and soaking wet with slush, and I would have a brain freeze. It was as if my mind was growing numb. All my brain cells must have been freezing. I wanted my brain to still work, so I did the most sensible thing. I went to the kitchen with Legolas trailing at my side. We both were muddy and cold. And the cook informed us at first, thinking we had come for a hot snack to eat, but we did not. We went straight to the oven, and stuck our heads in. We didn't know back then how serious it was to stick our head in an oven. We just wanted to stay smart, unlike the dumb orcs. Oh how the cook yelled! He screamed, and grabbed us by the hems of our shirts, and plopped us down in a chair and snapped us. Legolas and I were trembling, tears threatening to spill. The cook gave us a lecture, telling us we must attend school daily, thinking our brain cells really had frozen . But when he sent us off, we managed to sneak a couple of chocolate chip muffin down our shirts.
This is how it must feel. I think as the cold sting of ice and snow makes my face numb. To have your brain cells frozen. My lungs are aching for air, and I start to dig upwards. I pull myself up, shaking from the cold. This has been no fun. I would rather get scolded by the cook. Legolas pops his head to the surface. He looks around twice, seeming startled.
Pippin and Merry both come up. Soon, everyone is popping out of the snow, sniffling and shivering.
"Gandalf!" Boromir exclaims. "We should go to my city! Let us make for the gap of Rohan!"
"The gap of Rohan takes us too close to Isengard!" Aragorn yells back. Be yells to much, I think.
"If we cannot pass over the mountain, let us go under it! Let us go through the Mines of Moria!" Gimli says.
Gandalf's expression hardens. He must be seeing something terrible in mind. "Let the Ring bearer decide." He says, shakily. He looks at Frodo, who says nothing.
"Frodo." Gandalf exclaims once again.
"We will go through the Mines." Frodo says. I look at him, and smile. He is so courageous.
"So be it." Gandalf says. We all turn back, and head to the Mines of Moria.
