Olivia felt herself waking up. She groaned, hearing several beeps in her ear. She opened her blue eyes to see a white ceiling above her. She tried to move her arm. However, she felt several tubes in it.
"Shhh." She heard someone say from her left, "It's OK, Olivia,"
She looked over to see Klaus Mikaelson beside her. The sight of him made her heartbeat faster. He chuckled, looking at the heart monitor she was attached to. She started beeping fster.
"Hello to you, too." Klaus smirked from his chair.
"Where am I?"
"The hospital, you have been out for two days."
"Oh, wow." Olivia said, letting her eyes roam around her hospital room.
"You should have told me you didn't take your medicine. I would have never asked you to walk that far."
Olivia looked at him. "I wanted to walk with you." She answered honestly.
Klaus smiled, "I better go get your mother."
"My mother is here?"
Klaus nodded, "Your mother, your father, grandfather, and Laura. They all have been here for days, Olivia."
"And you?"
"I haven't left this chair." Klaus said.
Olivia bit her lip, looking into his eyes.
"You're biting your lip." Klaus said, standing up.
Before Olivia could protest, he was out the door. She had just met Klaus. However, something about him made her heart pound. Could you like someone after meeting them twice? It was possible. However, Olivia knew it could never work. Her clock was ticking. Brandon was the first person to entre the hospital room. His eyes were cold. He sat in the chair where Klaus had been.
"Your parents will be up here in a few minutes. I need to talk, and I need you to listen."
Olivia nodded, looking at her grandfather.
"I told you to stay away from Klaus. Did he hurt you?"
Olivia shook her head, "No, I just remember being exhausted and passing out. Why would he hurt me?"
"Stay away from him Olivia." He warned, "Being around Klaus is not safe for you."
"Why?" Olivia asked.
However, they were interrupted before Olivia could get an answer.
"Olivia." Her mother breathed, rushing to the hospital bed. She took Olivia's right hand. Olivia smiled at her mother, Brandon's warning ringing inside her head.
"Hey, mom."
"I am so glad you are OK. I was so worried when your dad called."
"I was worried when Klaus called." Her father said, coming into the room. He stood at her feet with Laura at her side.
"Yeah, lucky he was there to help." Olivia said, glancing at Brandon. He still sat expressionless.
"You exhausted yourself." Her father said. "You didn't take you medicine, and took a long walk in the heat, it exhausted your body."
"I know." Olivia said, looking at Taylor. "I am really sorry."
"We're not mad at you." Her mother said, "It's just really important for you to take that medicine."
Olivia nodded, "I promise I will."
"Well, I will go talk to your doctor about getting you discharged." Taylor said, turning to leave.
