High up in an airplane 12,000' above sea level, Pheagle and his friend Matt, an anthro Skymin, were about to attempt their very first skydive together. They had been planning this for a few weeks now.

"How ya feeling, Matt?" Pheagle asked.

"Excited and yet a bit nervous." he replied. "But it's too late to back out now, right!"

"Heh, yep." Pheagle giggled. "Same here."

"All right, we're coming up on the drop zone!" Yelled the pilot. "You better get ready to jump!"

The two of them got into their skydiving suit, ready for what would be a long, but exhilarating drop back to earth. "Oh, I almost forgot." Matt said, reaching into a small pouch. "Take this and put it on before we jump."

He tossed Pheagle a pendant that had a large red and purple gem attached to it. "What the heck is this?" he asked.

"It's a dragon gem." Matt explained.

"Where did you even get something like this?" Pheagle inquired.

"All I can is say that I bought these from someone." Matt said, pulling another from the pouch and slipping around his neck.

Pheagle was about to ask Matt who exactly sold him the gems when the pilot shouted, "All right! We're in the DZ! Better get a move on!" He would have to ask later.

Matt slid the door open. Even with earmuffs and goggles on, they could still hear the air outside rushing by them. It was powerful enough that Pheagle nearly lost his grip on the dragon gem he was holding. He slipped it round his neck quickly.

"WELL, THIS IS IT!" Matt yelled, hoping he could be heard over the powerful winds. "YOU READY?"

"WAIT, ARE THESE DRAGON GEMS GONNA AFFECT US IN ANY WAY?" Pheagle yelled back.

"I DON"T KNOW!" Matt replied. "WE CAN WORRY ABOUT ANY POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS LATER! NOW LET'S GO!!" With that, he leapt out of the plane.

Pheagle hesitated for a bit, still unsure about the gem that Matt had given him. He looked at it. Even with it being sunny out, there was a faint glow coming off of it. Admittedly, that would be concerning, but there was no time to worry about that. He stuffed the gem in his suit and leapt out of the plane. It didn't long for him to catch up to Matt.

As they fell through the sky, the two performed all kinds of mid-air tricks together. From flips to somersaults, break dancing and twists of every kind, even high-fives and fist bumps. It didn't matter how much of it was from the rush of adrenaline they were feeling, they were having the time of their lives.

Midway through the dive however, the two felt their bodies start to ache. At first it was a slightly discomforting, but then they felt like entire bodies writhe in pain. It felt like they were being torn apart from the inside. The gems around their necks glowing brightly now, and they felt warm, like a small campfire round their necks, but they didn't notice that.

Pheagle looked at his gloved hands. They were throbbing like crazy and bulging. Suddenly the gloves he was wearing exploded, revealing not his hands, but meaty red dragon claws. He could only focus on them for a few seconds before his attention was drawn to his butt. It felt like something was about to explode out that end and something did, a large long dragon tail, followed shortly after by a pair of wings bursting higher up on his back, near his shoulder blades. His stomach felt bloated like it was full of gas. He let out a huge burp only to belch out a stream of fire, melting the glass on his helmet, yet strangely not burning his face. That did nothing to relieve the pressure though as his belly kept expanding, the suit beginning to tear at the seams. In fact, it felt like his whole body was growing bigger. Horns grew out of the back of his head and straight through his skydiving helmet, shattering what remained, and his face stretched and formed a snout, his teeth getting sharper. Eventually the suit finally gave way, exploding into tiny shreds of fabric revealing Pheagle had turned into a large and still growing big-bellied red winged dragon.

Matt was also changing as well, but instead of turning into a pure dragon, he was turning into a dragon-type pokemon, in this case, a Dragonite. His suit stayed intact for much longer, save for the wings and tail bursting out. When his suit finally gave way as he grew bigger, not only had his form changed, but his attire had changed as well, though Matt didn't seem as surprised as Pheagle His light blue Venusaur graphic shirt and green and yellow hoodie had turned into a Luxury Ball shirt and dark blue with red lining ripped vest. His goggles were replaced by a light green bandana wrapped around his neck, His blue shorts were now khakis, and his green shaymin flower sneakers were now blue toeless ones with Latios wings on the sides. His dynamax band was still intact.

Their bodies were now exposed to the cold rushing air as they continued to plummet, but they didn't seem to mind. In fact, the cold air barely fazed them. Of course, they were too distracted by the fact they had turned into dragons.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" Pheagle yelled. "WHAT HAPPENED TO US?"

"I GUESS YOU KNOW WHY THEY'RE CALLED DRAGON GEMS NOW." Matt said.

They looked down. The ground was coming up fast. They were about 5000' feet away, yet the two no longer had their parachutes as they flew away when their suits tore apart.

"WELL THAT'S IT" WE"RE AS GOOD AS PANCAKES NOW" Pheagle yelled.

"UM, DID YOU FORGET WE HAVE WINGS NOW?" Matt pointed out. "START FLAPPING!!"

Pheagle had indeed completely forgotten about that in all the chaos. Both he and Matt flapped their wings with all their might, Pheagle flapping his wings harder as he was still a bit worried, not to mention he now had a huge belly possibly weighing him down. Bit by bit, They began to slow down. Eventually they landed safely on terra firma, though it seemed odd that hit it so fast. Pheagle let put a sigh of relief, though it sounded more like a growl of relief.

"That was too close." He said.

The two looked at their gems. They glowed for a few more seconds before they went completely back, shattered into nothing but dust, whatever magic within them now having been expelled.

"Okay, seriously. Where did you find these gems?" Pheagle asked.

"Well." Matt began. "A vendor in a farmers market I stopped by yesterday gave them to me." He rubbed the back of his head, blushing. "At least they were free."

"Well, I wanna have a chat with him about those gems you got. Come on." Pheagle lifted his huge dragon foot up, ready to take a step."

"WAIT!" Matt yelled.

Pheagle stopped in his tracks. "What now?" He asked.

"Look where you were about to step." Matt said, pointing down at the ground.

Pheagle looked where Matt was pointing. Sure enough, there was a small neighborhood in his path. It was REALLY small to them, so small a single step from either of them would crush it completely. The two had forgotten they had increased in size as well changed into dragons. They both looked to be 2000' tall.

"So how are we gonna get there?" Pheagle asked Matt.

"Same way we landed." he replied, as he flapped his wings to hover above the ground.

Pheagle sighed and flapped his wings as hard as he could. "That vendor better have a way to fix this." He said as the two flew back towards the airfield they took off from. "Let's hope we don't have to pay to replace the suits either."

"I'm sure he has something to turn you back." Matt said reassuringly. "I doubt this is permanent."

"Easy for you to say." Pheagle remarked. "You can change back any time."

Matt could only respond with a nervous laugh. Still he was confident there was a way to fix his friend Pheagle. After all, this wasn't the first time something like this had happened to him. Heck, he might even enjoy being a giant dragon from time to time. He'd just have to be careful where he stepped, or sneezed.
